Is it me or is Bland below average without ints?

Bland is young and likely to be improving, while Diggs has had two major knee surgeries and isn't himself anymore. Bland is most likely to be the one taking over at the vacated CB spot.

They both are terrible. Wishful thinking will not make them bonafide NFL players.

The INT’s definitely helped overrate him a bit. And those can come and go with luck, some of the best coverage CB’s don’t get many INT’s at all.

I would say Bland is a well above average/good starting CB, but I for sure would not pay him like an elite level CB because he had a bunch of INT’s in 2023.

Digs is great at covering the deep ball. Thesis good skill. Bland covers in breaking routes well. Digs us faster and bigger. He actually cover s better. Bond has never shut down I top reciver. Even in his best season, he got smoked NY Metcalf and they were forced to put a older Gilmore on him. Bland dies have recovery speed either. I've seen deeps chase down fast guys

The Cowboys are never going to a Super Bowl on the efforts of Diggs. Never on the efforts of Bland. And both of them on the field together means the team will be hard pressed to finish with more wins than the Giants.

Bland didn't play until the 11th game of the season in a defense completely new to him.

During those 7 games, the other CB position had 4 different starters so you know where the safety help went.

Bland averaged 4 solo tackles and 6 combined tackles per game during those 7 games. He had one forced fumble and recovery.

Despite last season, Bland has the 2nd most combined INT's over the past three seasons.

I believe he will be in the last year of his contract. I would like to see him come out to training camp healthy and ready to go.

Judge the DB without him making interceptions??? WTH is that? Since you’re doing that, judge the LB without tackles, the Edge without pressures, the WR without catches, the RB without carries , and the QB without completions!!aMy God this is going to be a long off season!

They can, but this is how we end up paying max money to guys too....I wish they would make a decision a year early on a guy like Bland. Sign him a year early saves you some money. If you dont like him trade him now when you could probably get a 2nd round pick coming back your way. The inability to take a risk on a guy like this has been a major issue with the Cowboys.

You cannot figure how a pet cat would be something someone would trade up for?

I get the feeling you need to read more books and try using google when you don't understand a word as opposed to get irritated by it.

I try to remain optimistic, although, what I've been seeing lately from our team isn't encouraging. I'm hoping Bland continues to develop. Whether that occurs or not remains to be seen. It's still early, at this stage of development for him. With Diggs, his injuries seem to be of a permanent nature.

No CB is great when your pass rush is bad. But at the same time, I thought both Diggs and Bland were average at best in man coverage last season, with Bland being a bit better in tackling.

Dallas was 3rd in sacks this year. They didn’t have a bad pass rush.
