The Giants took the ball and scored on us in 48 seconds. OMG. To me that was the most critical time in the game. Our offense drives and keeps the ball forever in the 2nd quarter and they get the ball and score in 48 seconds. I knew we were going to lose the ballgame then. But I heard nothing about it in the press conference from Wade. I know we aided them but with a rested defense there is know way they should have scored. We also went from being a passing team to a running team yesterday. We all know Terrell was not close to 100% and when MB started I felt it was strange because all season Julius had started. I am not superstitious or anything but when it is not broke why try to fix it? They had started JJ the whole season and with MB starting, did we jinx it? Anyway just my rant on the situation. I broke my kids toy bucket over this game I was so mad but it is what it is. Looking forward to next season already. Once a Cowboy, always a Cowboy!!!!!

That was just one of the THREE (meaning all of 'em) scoring drives the Gmen had that were assisited by penalties! Combined with the drops and other miscues we had, it all equals doom and gloom today!

it wasn't just him this defense sucks. i think we can all put to rest the "it's the scheme" thing cause it's clearly the players

I'm sorry but that was the scheme. You cannot just rush 4 and let him sit back there with no pressure.

Stupid defenssive playcalling on that drive

Absolutely stupid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:bang2:

Here is what is sickening. They started at their own 30 (more or less) with about 40 seconds left and ended up scoring with 7 seconds left and still had a timeout. You would think that would only be possible if they hit a big play for a TD, but it was a sustained drive. That was the sorriest display of prevent defense I have ever witnessed.

I, for one, hope to never see another game where Reeves plays in the Cowboy secondary.

Wonder what the forum would look like if Roy was the one scored on instead of Hamlin. :shatfan:

No, this thread is the first of it's kind. You may be the only person who noticed that score. And, not only did you notice it, but you noticed it with 8 exclamation points.

Kudos.

I wonder that, too. I wonder what the purpose of that defensive call was, as well. I mean...Hamlin was the only player in the middle of the field. I don't believe for a second that the defense was designed to do that. Either someone screwed up badly, or we need new coaches.

I was more pointing to him on the 48second drive....but he clearly can't cover...it wasn't just this game...

"he couldn't cover my momma" (Sorry...just left over from the game yesterday)

That drive was pretty much all on 2 plays.... both on Reeves. They got 50 yards on 2 plays... 22 yard pass + 11 yard pass and 15 yard penalty.

Contrast that, to the minute and forty seven seconds on the clock when Romo takes the field for the last time with a chance to win the game with a touch down.

Before his game against Philadelphia, I never would have doubted him in that moment.

Last night - Watching that game with Packers fans who KNEW that Dallas would score - I knew on the other hand that they WOULDN'T. I knew before it happened that there was no chance - I sat there, silent. The way the O-line's blocking was shiite, the way that Romo appeared so entirely flustered and rushed that whole last half. I just knew it was all over even though the Giants handed us the last chance for victory.

One of the most sickening losses I've seen in a long time.

If you watch before the snap... Hamlin is yelling at someone in the secondary... then he gets beat with Toomer across the middle.

I need to look at it again but can't bring myself to do it just yet. I wonder if perhaps our LBers should have been more in the middle and may have been overaggressive on some type of fake/playaction or something.

Of course we didn't notice the score. There were only 300 posts in the span of 15 minutes counting halftime.

No doubt... As I've been saying, same thing happened to the Chargers last year, when they were up. Wade goes prevent, Brady marches down the field and scores. The second half, 3rd quarter, they go aggressive shutting the Patriots out. Wade goes prevent at the end, and the Patriots end up winning.

What ticked me off was that on the play before the Barber score, we tried to throw for a touchdown on first down. Why, so we can give the Giants plenty of time to get a field goal? If I were the coach, I would have run on first. If we don't get it, we can run the clock down and then the Giants won't have time to run a series. I am suprised I haven't seen this mentioned. I think this was really stupid of our coaches.
