Panic? We're 4-3 a season after going 13-3. We just caught a surging Rams team at the wrong time.

Remember last year when the Chargers started 1-3, reports came out that Norv lost control of his team, and the locker room was getting intense.

Since that start, the players just rallied around each other and did just that.

Who knows? IF our players can take this attitude, then MAYBE we can save our season.

When has panicking ever done anyone good?

It only makes things worse.

So, no.

Well-they're not repeating that success this year, and things are getting worse for them. So yeah-we ARE the Chargers.:p:

Maybe time to panic.Of all the things affecting this team - bad coaching, weak leadership and poor execution - INJURIES are killing us the most.
Do we only score 7 points in 3 qtrs with Romo at quarterback ?
Does a healthy Newman improve the secondary allowing safety help for Henry ?
Does anyone not miss Kosier at guard ?
Wouldn't Felix offer a big play threat ?
There's more but I hate typing.

IF and when we get healthy ,it might be too late THATS whats panicking me.

1) No

2) Yes-and less not forget that b/c we don't have many true pass rushers, this makes Newman's presence HUGE

3) Unlike most Zoners, I always thought Kosier is an underrated, albeit a nasty OL to boot. I don't think Proctor is as bad as everyone is saying, but he lacks alot of intangibles Kosier has(nastiness and leadership)

4) Yes-but I don't think his injury had anything to do with our loss today

Anyhow-with that being said, look at the Giants last year-Eli played on a bum shoulder for the first 1/2 year, their starting safeties(Wilson and Butler) had nagging injuries that caused them to miss games in the 2nd half-their backups were 7th round rookies, Shaun O'Hara(their center) missed the Bucs playoff game, their RBs missed numerous games with injuries(Jacobs the first month, and Ward had groin/fibula issues 2nd half), and for that matter, their secondary was ice-thin when they played us in the playoffs(No Madison, Ross, and they had to get guys off the PS).

Pt being that the Giants, injury-wise last year, were in worse shape overall than we are now. But it was as if noone noticed with them, but it's a glaring issue with us. Overall-I just CAN'T buy that injuries are the sole issue with us.

I never said they were the only issue (read my 1st line) but the most important.
Our starting quarterback is out,
Our starting conerback is out,
Our starting safety is out,
Our big play runningback out,
One starting guard out,
Two linebackers out,
Punter out,
backup safety out,
plus we have niggling injuries to Johnson, witten, now James,Gurode.
The injuries are all at the same time as well and affect Offense,Defense and special teams.
As I said,by the time we get healthy the season may be too late to save.

what we really need is just to play a good solid game. Come out and put some points up fast while the defense actually holds someone. Wouldn't cure al our ills, but it would be interesting to actually be playing with a lead for a while. Its been a while.

Thats the reason this team is 4-3, it hasn't panicked. Wade has the
awe shucks we'll play better next week mentality.

I think we have to wait till after the Tampa game to see if we hit the panic button if the team comes out and plays the same way the did against the Rams then we hit the panic button.

Injuries don't excuse, bad penalties, turning the ball over, and playing with no passion.
