I don't want to over react to the Sun. nite loss and I probably should wait to post this after Sat. Nites game ,but I was wondering if maybe we peaked too soon this season.

I know, lets wait until after The Atlanta game and then we'll get a better idea.

But it was just a thought.

so don't go slammin me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i just watched the replay on nfl network..

we were in that game big time up until the onside kick.

our secondary and a subpar outing by romo lost that game..

that 15 yard bullcrap call against parcells had alot to do with it as well.

romo and our defense will bounce back this saturday night.

I blame the pass rush more than the secondary.

More specifically the coach scheme for our defense.

But this is being debated on 875485 other threads at the moment.

We will bounce back though.. it will show our true colors.

It's just one loss. The up coming game will show if this team can bounce back after a huge let down. Personally I believe we can.

I'm not a big believer is this reach a peak stuff.

Let's hope we can put the Saint train wreck behind us, regroup, and move forward.

We can only hope we haven't played to our full potential......I'm sure I'm not alone when I say I don't think we have.

No but this team had zero margin for error after the Washington loss.
I'm convinced this team would've been 10-3 or 11-2 had Romo started from the beginning.

You're not alone. I don't believe in all this peaking crap. If you aren't at a peak come week 1 of the season, then you shouldn't be playing in the NFL.

This team did get on a roll, and drop a huge game. However, I've seen other championship teams do the same late in the season.

How about the 1995 Cowboys that dropped a game to the Eagles on 2 failed 4th and 1 tries? That same team also lost a big game to the Niners the Sunday before Thanksgiving that year. They looked horribly inept against the Niners that year only to make a run in the playoffs.

One game does not mean the end of the season. We need to move on.

I was thinking that maybe we did, but I figured if I didn't say it out loud or post it, it wouldn't be true.

It's possible, but too soon to tell.

And really, I'd hate to think that the way we played during that 4 game winning streak was our "Peak".

Not to mention their defensive coordinator, and head coach/play caller knew our entire playbook. Ok maybe not the ENTIRE playbook, but a pretty good percentage of it.

People are making abig deal of Miami buying tapes to get hints on protection. Thats just the protection scheme, and they beat NE up. Just think how much of a difference it makes having a large portion of the PLAYBOOK.

I'd love to see New Orleans in the playoffs. Love it.

.

considering coaches go from one team to another all the time, you people are vastly overrating what that means and its effect on the games themselves...if it were that easy, wouldnt we see those kind of results every week?

No, we dont...we just played one of the worst games anybody in the league has played this yr

I do believe that teams hit peaks and valleys during the season, due to injuries or lack there of, the ball bouncing one way or the other, a run of officating that may or may not be benificial.

If we did hit our "peak" against the Buccaneers on Thanksgiving, then we weren't good enough to do much damage this year anyway. :starspin

Hmmmm, let's see.....doesn't playing to your potential and peaking mean the same thing?

Call it what you want, but it iwas a legitimate question.

I agree. Another December swoon would probably spell the end of the BP era in Dallas. I hope our team regroups this week.

to answer the original question
yes it is entirely possible the Boys peaked too soon.
if they stumble thru the rest of the season the answer would
have to be yes they did.
if on the other hand they regroup, win out and play good
in the playoffs then you would have to say they have peaked at the right
time.
bottom line....too early to say if they have "peaked" yet.
