Is it time for the symbolic yet never effective "players only meeting"?

They could call a QB only meeting and Cassel and Weeden could lay out their plans to dominate football.

The coaches need a "coaches only" meeting.

I was pleased with the coaching staff last season.

I'm underwhelmed with its performance so far this season.

No. Effort is not an issue.

It would be funny if C-Mike stood up in the meeting and requested that they trade a 7th for Aaron Rodgers.

I say C-Mike because he appears to be the dumbest guy on the team; although Claiborne and Randle would challenge him for that distinction.

C-Mike is a peculiar guy based on my very few observations of him on TV. You're right in that it seems they don't trust him. He seems to just run full throttle without letting anything develop. I'll give it to him, he seems energetic but he also seems to behave like a 12 year old boy that wants to play with the big kids.

He must be the dumbest or most immature guy ever.

Do you think a players only meeting would convince Garrett & Linehan to ditch the play not to lose script?

Did you watch the game? Did you see Cassel on that last play scramble around then take the sack? You guys are just unbelievably uninformed to put it nicely.

Did you watch the 3 and 3/4 quarters before that lead to that last drive. Like Greg Hardy setting us up with great field position only for the offense to settle for a field goal? Or what about the offensive masterminds deciding to run the ball 3 straight times resulting in a punt, instead of being aggressive and throwing the ball on 3rd and 2. Once again the offense leaves the defense hanging out to dry and its the same people in here making excuses for those two buffoons.

Yeah I watched. I watched a coaching staff being hamstrung by horrible QB play. Can't squeeze blood out of a rock.

That's being too polite.....;) This is on the level of Wade's last season...It's been that bad...regardless of the QB situation.

So horrible QB play made them run the ball on 3rd and 2 huh. Sounds a lot like playing not to lose

well what has become painfully obvious is there is simply no cohesion to this team anymore.

was that murray? don't think so.
romo? he *could* well have been far more important than we realize in being simply what keeps this mess moving.
dez? dez is a ton of passion but zero focus.

the meeting will do no good because there isn't anyone to shove a foot up the arse of the rest and *MAKE* them care. to me that is the one thing missing out of this season that trumps the rest in that the players just don't seem to give a **** as a whole.

now there are standouts who do show it and bring it every play. collins is making highlight reels left and right and dominating like no ones business. i see the rest of the line playing but are they giving as much as he is?

how many on the team are "hungry" to win or just playing football? honestly i see playing football and not even good at that. i don't see a team and i rarely see a great, if only, good, play anymore. this has been far and away the most painful season to watch and not because we're losing. i went through 1-15 i can handle this.

but because of how they're losing and they "we don't give a ****" attitude coming out of many of the players.

so let them have their meeting if they choose. but before that each one needs to just stop and look in the mirror and ask in their own mind - what do they want?

if it's to win, start playing like it.

otherwise even when romo gets back the apathy that is setting in may be too much for even him to win back.

What are they going to say? "Guys...we really need to start being healthy!"

They're not pulling an Indy...they're injured. Cassel and Weeden are backups for a reason. Not many teams win with backup QBs, and even less win with backup QBs AND injured star WRs and with all the other injuries they've had.

If Romo is in there, at worst, they're sitting at 7-2.
