Is it time to be worried about Parsons

With the other defensive greats around the league it seems like they just line up and play football. I'm talking about the Bosas, Garretts and Watts of the world. Didn't Micah, Lawrence and Kearse tell us this is Doomsday 2.0 or something to that effect? Why do we have to consistently rely on the coordinator to scheme this guy open for him to show up and more importanly when is this loud mouth defense going to show up against an elite team?

No. Only because 1) He's been banged up the last few weeks. 2) He's getting double-triple teamed regularly.

The onus is on the team and Dan Quinn to scheme him open and get him rest.
But isn't that part of the problem with putting him at DE full-time? It allows teams to double and triple-team him and he is going to be banged up because he doesn't have the size to deal with it.

I personally think he was more effective in his rookie year when he was making plays all over the field, getting tackles for a loss and rushing the passer.

I think, in order, to beat the upper echelon offenses Micah needs to ILB and situational pass rusher because he's getting beat up in the trenches.

Worried? Not yet.

More concerned Quinn thought the best way for Parsons to be effective was to go up vs Trent most of the game.
I agree, I was surprised to see him keep going against Trent most of the night.
I thought Quinn would try to avoid that matchup, it's a bad matchup for us.
Trent is like Tyron used to be. Just a huge man with great footwork and athleticism.
The ideal left tackle.
He literally swallowed Micah up, so it was Quninn's responsibility to figure a way around that, and he didn't.
He just allowed our game wrecker to be easily neutralized.
Just kept doing the same thing over and over, and it wasn't working.
The Cowboys made literally no adjustments on offense or defense.
Besides being horribly outplayed on the field, we were horribly outcoached.
Out GM'd too. What a hell of a team Lynch has put together.
I don't see any weaknesses in them. of course injuries could change that as the season progresses.
I think they are better than the Eagles right now, Hurts just doesn't seem as good as he was last year.

He has slowed down the last few games. For some reason Quinn has made him a one dimensional pass rusher. The large percentage coming from the edge. I also think the culture in Dallas is toxic and ruins players. They become entitled and soft. Big big big contract is on the line. You guys worried? I am.
I think (hope) we feared going down to the 49ers and that made us too pass-rush happy yesterday. I would much prefer Micah back at LB for 1st/2nd Down ..... both 49ers and Eagles (away) certain played his aggression against him from the edge.
One of his greatest threats is you don't know where he's coming from, if you know then it's easier to plan against....Inc RPO's.

Several times, I saw Parsons simply running into the blocker's arms. Maybe he just needs technique work.

Unless we want him completely spent after 7 years then we need to move him back to linebacker. He's too small to play DE on a regular basis.

Not that it really matters. We had Ware for a decade and won nothing. Hall of Famers pass through the doors here all the time. They only win Super Bowls when they leave...if they're lucky enough to still have anything left in the tank.

Parsons needs to find another team focused on winning. This team isn't it. I don't want to see his career wasted.

Parsons is getting double-teamed on most snaps, my concern is those guys that can't beat anyone 1 on 1 with consistency.
OK so let's quit it with the LT comparisons and whatever historically great players Micah gets compared to.

I don't think he has slowed at all, I just think he is being double and occasionally triple teamed. It's up to the others to step up because this should open other opportunities.

Additionally, for the most part Purdy was getting rid of the ball very quickly, which also limited pass rush opportunities.

Because he gets injured by week 3 because he's the only guy who can do anything on that line. And because we have no coaches who can actually make decisions, HE refuses to sit one or two games out and rest. That is testament to our abysmal and neutered coaching staff. Also doesn't help that he gets held 90% of the time.

I'm sure if you talked to Steelers, Browns, or 49ers fan they'll tell you Watt, Garrett, and Bosa all deal with the same thing Parsons does. Always an excuse

Honestly i am not worried about him. If he truely wants to win he is going to sign his second contract elsewhere. If he stays you know he is only a talker and so fits this franchise.

Players on this team know that the main problem, the only problem for this team is at the QB position. With a good one this team would be able to compete for a SB. Players quit yesterday. Parsons for instance. We lost Cooper because of Prescott. Players know about talent.

Watt and Bosa have tons of talent to side them. Not defending Parsons in this case, BTW, just pointing out that the comparison may not be all that accurate.

The only thing I "worry" about - dislike, more accurately - is his constant yapping.
