For Roy to switch to LB? Add some lbs. and I think it might work.

Thoughts?

Which LB position. I glad this team is winning because if all this team has to worry about is a SS, that many on here have no clue about the way coverages are played in the NFL or football in general except for what they see in madden then this team is riding on cloud 9. Personally I am more worried about the running game and the lack there of lately.

Roy is a good player. He hasn't been "right" since that singer chick split and he discovered God. He doesnt hit anymore just takes legs out.

In any case, he is good coming up on routes and receivers and struggles when he has to chase or back pedel.

If we played a Cover 2 man shell or a Cover 3 (which we do)then he'd be fine.

Roy is too slow to play LB and he's not big enough either.

It's not to hard to see TEs owning Roy especially lately when he for the most part zigs when the guy he's attempting to cover zags and they show it replay after replay week in week out. It kinda has become a epidemic.

Ok everyone has stepped up their anti-RW banter after playing 2 PRO BOWL TEs in shockey and cooley. Until some of you know what a cover 3 is you really have no knowledge of what assignments belong to who, most go by, "Well Roy was in the screen, it must have been his guy, since no else catches balls unless Roy is covering them." Does Roy have a coverage weakness, yes, as I am sure there is something in your job that you aren't the best at.

We're not talking about my job are we? BTW I'm great at everything at my job! And since you mentioned it, since Roy is the only guy in the screen attempting to cover whoever is nearest that is about to get the ball, then since he's nearby why doesn't he just go ahead and do the job EVEN IF that man was not his at the plays origination? Not saying every single completion that is in Roy vicinity is always his fault but as I said before it's not too difficult to tell when he screws up and how often since they always point him out. Roy just looks unsure of himself in coverage and looks to have low confidence in coverage and that makes him hesitate and have to think twice about who to cover when he's out in space.

I think we can all agree that Hamlin is light years a better FS than K. Davis. Some thought if Dallas got a good FS in to help Roy that that would cure Roys coverage problems and granted Hamlin has helped. But Roy still has problems in coverage and most of the time it doesn't look like scheme to me it looks like uncertainty and low confidence.

But it's really futile to argue about it folks believe what they want, you and I are no different and we aren't changing anybody's mind!

Having said that, for the most part he's a sure tackler and good in run support and he made some good first down saving tackles today, so I acknowledge that he does have some positives.
