Is it too late to draft a QB next year?

what about Drew Olson? could be one of those late 1st day picks that could be a good pro....maybe?
I haven't seen him play this year...Didn't he get hurt in a bowl game last year and blow out a knee? How is his rehab going?

He has good size and might make a good backup for Romo if the knee holds up. I'd like to see more of him though and we don't seem to get many UCLA games around here.

Yes, we must decipher a player's abilites to one, single, solitary game against....GASP......MICHIGAN!!!:lmao:

Let's see, how about 2 games he's already played.

vs Mich 2004- 13-23 241 yds 2 TDs 0 INTs
vs Mich 2005- 27-37 300 yds 1 TD 0 INTs

Career vs Mich 40-60 541 yds 3 TDs 0 INTs

Not to mention- 29 carries 182 yds 2 TDs

That's all I got to say about that.

The TV guys put up his last 6 game stats.

ZERO interceptions.

And yes...that includes the vaunted MICHIGAN juggernaut.

NAME CMP ATT YDS CMP% YDS/A TD INT RAT
Ben Olson 38 52 442 73.1 8.50 5 1 172.4

UCLA is 2-0 but against Idaho and Rice I think.
I haven't seen Olson play this year but I remember he was a pretty hot prospect at one time. Stats look pretty good so far this year but real test will be against Oregon and USC. I don't think UCLA will compete that well with USC but you will probably be able to tell a lot about him.

He is already in the NFL. Currently on the Ravens practice squad.

Ben Olson is UCLA's quarterback, but is only a sophmore.

So these guys couldn't play in the NFL?

Joe Montana
Height: 6' 2'' Weight: 197

Johnny Unitas
Height: 6-1. Weight: 195 pounds.

Steve Young
Height: 6-2; Weight: 215
Unitas played over 30 years ago, Montana and Young played in the West Coast offense.

I don't think they would have been as effective in the type of offense the Cowboys ran with Aikman.

That said, you have to have talent to be a HOF QB, and those guys were great.

I would take a 6'2 great player over an average 6'5 player. But if I had a choice between two equal players, I would take the one with more size.

Smith is 6'1" according to Ohio State.

If he's six foot, I'm seven foot.

At the combine, his actual height will be recorded. A lot of players bodies go through drastic changes in those crucial minutes that they step up on stage. He'll end up around 5'11".

Well, I'm still rooting for Trent Edwards as a prospect.

Yes, I know his team sucks.
