Is it Zimmer, or just not enough pressure up the middle?

Watching the Boys this year, I notice that we never seem to get good pressure up the middle. Ware is the best pass rusher on the team and is always going to get there first, but when I watch teams like the Chargers, it seems like the QB is often pushed into the guys rushing the edges. No matter how many guys we send, I rarely see the opponent's interior offensive line break down first, and the QB rarely seems pushed into the outside guys, rather he stays in the pocket, and hopes Ware and Ellis don't beat the tackles. Anyone else buying this theory?

Team is built for edge pressure...either side this year which is key. You get the 3 and long jail break blitz but our pressure is on the edge all year.

Glover had ample opportunity to rush inside in nickel last year.

James rarely gets to the QB.

Hopefully we won't get as burnt on the sell-out blitzes as years past. Folks act like Zimmer hasn't blitzed before, he does when he has the talent that allows it.

I didn't say they are good at it.

Clearly our ILB's and S's need to work on some pass rush moves.

1) Run into guard

2) Put hands up and jump.

I'm just asking an honest question. I've never been a GROZ member. I've always felt Zimmer never got his due. I just notice we don't get much pressure up the middle compared to some of the elite defenses in the NFL.
