Not sure why you think that about Davis.

In past limited playing time he's produced.

PFF had him as the 19th most productive 4-3 DE last season and based on his play Sunday night, he looks like he could be a keeper.
I don't think he should be a starter. A good back up yes. Just my opinion. Pff had rated t Crawford real high as well on many occasions. Personally, I don't like any of the DEs. I can tolerate Tank, but I'm not sure he wasn't a product of Hardy getting double teams. I don't like Gregory. I think Jack is a career backup.

Maybe I can learn to like Davis, but right I'm lukewarm at best. He doesn't have that wow factor. But then again, I can't expect practice squad homies, UDFAs , and guys cut from other teams to Always produce like a probowler, that would unreasonable.

There are guys who are front line, high end starters, and then there are guys that are lunch pail, rotational type backups.

Jack Crawford is one of those lunch pail type of players. He's not pretty, he's not flashy, and in extended snaps, he's not overly productive. But, in a rotational role, he has a place on the team and can contribute.

Exactly, he had 5 sacks last year when playing in the right role and Dallas is paying him 575K over the minimum salary.

If you want a dominant pass rush.... I don't think you want him starting for you.

Beggars cannot be choosers. I will take better every day of the week and twice on Sundays.

NFL talent is scarce and there are few positions more rare than pass rushers.
