They are making the same money

Isaiah Likely runs out into the secondary and attacks the other team. Ferguson stands still, tries to block defenders and gets ragdolled. There's almost zero offensive threat from the guy

Schultz was garbage at blocking. The worst blocking TE I have ever seen. Schultz, Ferg, Schoon....all average at best. Span Ford turn out to be the best TE of the group

That's just bad technique. And D lineman that benches 250 20+ plus times will do that to a TE like Ferguson. And to be even more fair, you find just about every lineman in the history of the Cowboys that got manhandled like that. It happens. I thought this thread was going to have like 5 videos of Ferguson playing bad instead of only 1. Lol

I hated when we resigned him. I always knew he was Just A Guy. Nothing special. Not even a leader on the team. It made no sense to resign him last year. Jerry just loves wasting money. Jake Ferguson, Hunter Luepke. These guys were never anything special yet we act like they are. Hunter barely even plays and still struggle run blocking. Maybe we are keeping him just to be a special teams player? Then we give Steele that big contract WHILE he was rehabbing his ACL injury. I mean Jerry Jones wake up.

"Culture" is an overused word in sports sometimes, IMO.

However, the constant bantering about the "Culture problem" in Dallas is justified IMO

How many times, over and over, do we see guys who perform well, get paid, and then basically disappear.

It's not a one off. Does it happen this much in other organizations? Or am I just missing it because I pay more attention to Dallas? Honest question. But as the saying goes, if I had a dollar for every guy who got paid by our FO and then basically collapsed.....

To establish "culture"....you need a fearless...leader....that gets results. Michael Jordan (maybe with Coach Jackson)...for example, established the Bulls culture. Not because of sparkling personality. But excellence, wins, and chips. Brady/Bilichick. Triplets/Jimmy.

Lip service changes nothing.

The problem with so many paid players flaring out is a dilemma, and may very well be part of "culture". When you see the other players doing it, Jerry's tacit approval (we like our guys), and no real payoff ('chips)...I suppose they think "why bother".

Yep "culture" and "leader" are a bit nebulous. But about as close of wording as I can think of.
