Honestly, I don’t think you pay TE unless they’re a bonafide top-5 offensive threat at the position.

Schulz would have been a mistake too.

Dude can't block and can't catch a ball deeper than 5 yards. I would say he's done. He was a pedestrian athlete coming into the NFL, and injuries cost him a step he didn't have to lose.

To be fair, that guy's not better than the Jake Ferguson we paid for. As washed as he looked sunday night, Jake would've probably looked like Tony Gonzalez against our defense.

I hated when we resigned him. I always knew he was Just A Guy. Nothing special. Not even a leader on the team. It made no sense to resign him last year. Jerry just loves wasting money. Jake Ferguson, Hunter Luepke. These guys were never anything special yet we act like they are. Hunter barely even plays and still struggle run blocking. Maybe we are keeping him just to be a special teams player? Then we give Steele that big contract WHILE he was rehabbing his ACL injury. I mean Jerry Jones wake up.

Jerry and this organization just love their guys that they found or drafted. If Pickens was drafted by them, he would’ve been resigned and franchise tagged
