Not even close. Martz doesn't use the TE. He doesn't really care about the run. He doesn't leave extra blockers in to protect the QB. Just because Garrett is a pass-first OC, doesn't mean that's all he does. It is a pass-first league, after all.

Based on some games, especially the GB game last year, I'd disagree with you.

I know Witten gets a lot of catches, but I really don't think Garrett uses him, or Marty B for that matter, well. Both of them can move but how often does he use them for anything other than a short out or comeback as a check down. You don't need a terrific pass catching TE to do that, and we have one - with potential for another.

Why, oh why does Garrett not run the football. Is it because we cannot? I dont believe that with the backs we have. Do you know that Romo threw the ball 550 times last year? That is way too many. Garrett is picking up where he left off last year. (Passing on 3 rd and short for example)

Haha yeah, we all are for sure.

I'd be lying if I said at times I didn't scream at Garrett to run the ball more -- we all have.

But I think fans in general overreact whenever something doesn't go our way, and then point to the playcall and say "Garrett should have done ___" -- the opposite of whatever was called.

Just because we throw a pick or an incomplete pass doesn't mean that a running play would have been successful.

People have short memories, Dallas looked awful in preseason last year as well. If they struggle to score vs Washington I will start worrying until then I am just hoping for no major injuries.
