cowboys are under the cap. jerry could cut ware at anytime. he could therfore cut ware on may 31st.

the big money given to free agents occur this week. isn't it best for ware to negotiate right now?

You do have a point. We are already under the cap and could wait Ware out of free agency. Kind of a jerk move but it's just about the only leverage he has over Ware.

What's it going to be then, eh?

1) He would be screwing over Ware, which is not his style. 2) that means Dallas practically sits out the entire free agency period.

Why does it matter? Ware is a below average player at this point yet he's the team's best lineman. The Cowboy are winning the race to irrelevancy.

Ware is as significant as Julius Peppers.

not true. there are other restructures that could be made allowing for free agents to be added

Might as well see what you can get in Fa and the draft and then decide on ware

So, you are in favor of them extending players like Carr? Witten? Austin will be June 1st to sign the rookie class. They've already done the Romo bit. There really is not much more they can do.

Ware is the key to the offseason spending if there is interest. Otherwise, we will likely be signing lower tier free agents like last season.

They can restructure Carr and Witten and get 8m. They can restructure/cut Free and Orton and get almost 2m each. They can cut Durant, Parnell and other bottom guys and get another 4m. They still have almost 9m to get from Ware one way or another and Miles gives them 5.5m after June 1st.
