I get the impression that he is... Am I wrong on that?

Charging 27.50 to watch a practice.
No free agents signed.
Not cutting Roy Williams in a non cap year.

How does not cutting Roy Williams factor into this? He would save money if he cut Roy, not lose money.

just wondering what's going on, because what we see now is Jerry's mess and I'd like to know what his plan is to fix it aside from having open practices.

He charges because people pay for it.

Wealthy people know how to 1. stay wealthy and 2. increase their wealth.

/thread.

Cool. That makes me feel better about this team.

I don't think he's in financial trouble but he's not hidden the fact that he really put his future at risk and went out on a limb building/completing that billion dollar plus stadium in the worst economy since the Carter era.

That doesn't become a non-issue overnight.

He is definitely managing his resources differently since the completion of JerryWorld.

He is paying off his debt much faster than forecast. He has not taken any deals for naming rights. That alone shows that he is NOT in financial trouble.

According to the Forbes valuation, Jones is carrying $190 million of debt on the team - including the stadium.

Financially, he would appear to be fine.

Yeah it's gotta be tough being a billionaire. :laugh2:

In fairness, this guy probably heard Norm. Norm did a whole segment last weaking discussing Jerry's "financial troubles". Now Norm was smart enough to say that "financial troubles" are relative, but he stated troubles non the less.

This is not a dumb question considering the money he overspent for the stadium, he was counting on a naming rights deal, potential strike, advertising down, fans are economically hurting, now disillusioned with the product etc......

Lots of wealthy people get themselves in trouble by overextending. Lots of wealthy people have gone bankrupt ie Donald Trump.

He is behaving as if money is more of an issue than it was a few years ago that is for sure.

The stadium helped Jerry generate the highest operating revenue of any team in the NFL. He also is one of the highest spenders on salaries as he takes advantage of an uncapped year.

No, he his behavior evidences no financial problems.

no free agents signed? What did we just do with Miles Austin?

I'm not saying he's broke, but he did hit me up for some spare change outside the 7-11 this morning.
