His biggest question was speed, and he awnsered that with a 4.45. Do you think he improved his stock to where he will be considered at 44

I think if Richie Grant is in play at 44, so is Holland. I think Holland timed faster which is important for a single high FS. Also, I don't believe Dan Quinn was at UCF pro day like he was at Oregon.

We dont know how the Cowboys have these guys ranked, just the media (kiper/McShay are media to me). Holland could be the number 2 Safety on the board sitting there at 44.

Absolutely. And I don’t think it’s a coincidence that Quinn was at their pro-day. He’s got very good instincts and very good ball skills. You don’t see hm lined up a lot as the single high asafety but you could make that projection based on his skill set. Some teams may have him in front of Moehrig. I think he’s definitely in play if available.

Heck yeah. Younger, faster, bigger, and just as productive as Grant.

I like him way more than Grant at 44.

What I really want to see though is who falls out of the first. I'd consider those guys first, I think. Then Holland is my target at 44.

What is the knock on this guy? He looks better than Grant to me
I think the biggest knock on him was this perception that he was a slow player. Lacked long speed. Talk about him running a 4.7. I never saw a slow player on tape. And obviously those perceptions were wrong.

Nope, he’s going to quietly sneak into first round.

Prior to 2020, he was a projected 1st round pick. He didn’t play football, then crushed his pro day. He’s very versatile and can play FS or CB.

He’s going in the 1st. Latest in the early second. I could see the Packers taking him in the 1st.

Speed was a question mark, but so was his role. Is he more of a slot corner or free safety? He is more of a chess piece, modern player that probably doesn’t fit into one role. Quinn’s scheme is more traditional where his strong plays close to the line of scrimmage, free safety back. Think Grant fits the best in Quinn’s scheme, where Holland could be excellent in more of a hybrid scheme. I like both players and would take either at 44.

Does everyone here think Richie Grant is better or Holland?

Dane Brugler has these safeties in his Top 100:

37 Richie Grant
39 Trevor Moehrig
61 Jevon Holland
94 Hamsah Nasirildeen
97 Andre Cisco

If you wanted to make Elijah Molden a safety he's #35

He should be. He is exactly what we need in the secondary. He beats out Kazee day 1 as our ball hawking FS (So does Grant).

Really can't go wrong with either of them, D-Tackle McNeil is another.

We are in such good shape in this draft, could easily come out with 2 day one starters, and 2 guys who earn starter spots midway through the season along with backups and special teamers.

I honestly like Molden a ton. IMO he’d be a really good FS conversion.

Doubt that happens though.

I give the edge to Holland personally. Grant gave up a few more big plays.

I’d be happy with either, though.

First seeing his U-Tube tapes........oh my. His tapes are better than Moehrig. He not only shows speed but plays fast. See where someone said he had 9 interceptions over two years. Unless something weird happens, I'm all over this kid at 44 if he's there. Surtain at 10, Holland at 44, I'm doing cartwheels......lol
