Is Joey Porter the Cowboys top Target?

Yes I’m sure Porter Jr would likely be on the top of the cowboys board if he makes it to 26. Kinda doubt it happens tho.

Will be interesting if a guy like Witherspoon were to fall. Classic case of very good tape but doesn’t fit the typical mold of a Dan Quinn CB.

After the combines they had we may have to take 1 of them in the 2nd, but Julius Brents and Darius Rush would be my targets in the draft at CB. Long, physical, great athletic ability and good ball skills.

Darius Rush could be a legitimate day 2 target if they miss out on a top corner in day 1
You might have to get him at 26. I am looking at the unicorns similar to Byron and Tyler. The Cowboys are a traits first team especially when it is later in the rounds. The Cowboys are more likely to draft a corner that is 6’2 that runs a sub 4.4 then anyone else. Just keep in eye on the freaks.

Ringo's draft stock seems to be tumbling. At one point most mocks had him in the top 10.
I don’t think he’s as good as the top talent guys.

Different position but reminds me of Lewis Cine last year. Going to go way higher than he should.

The Cowboys will have 5 realistic players that they are comfortable selecting at 26. They will sit there and watch all 5 get selected right before them, with somebody trading up in front of them to snag the last one as by draft day everybody in America will know the Cowboys targets because the Jones boys can’t shut the &@%* up. Then they will announce that the Cowboys are on the clock, switch to video of our draft room, and Jerry and Stephen will be looking befuddled like they can’t believe their last target just went off the board. In a last ditch effort, Stephen will work the phones only to tell us later that they had no credible offers. They will sit there and take someone they didn’t really want at 26, spin how great he is in the press conference, only for the player to turn out to be another Micah Parsons/Tyler Smith type of pick. And everybody lives happily ever after……at least until we get knocked out of the playoffs in the first round. That is how I see this thing going down.

Nah, too many better corners ahead of him as his tape wasn't great considering his physical traits. Came off a strong senior bowl week that has him in that day 2 discussion.

Remember Tyler last draft. :omg:  How raw he was. I told you look at the traits. I think if Banks is there at 26 we take him. The Cowboys will draft a unicorn corner at least in the 4th/5th.

Agree, Banks is one of the top contenders at 26, think Rush is more of a 58 candidate.

Quan Martin is just a smidge below Witherspoon in ability. Ran a 4.46. Both those guys would look good with the star on their hat.

Tyler Smith was the best OL in that draft. I posted that a week before the draft.

Larry Allen was a "traits" pick...

Would you interested in a Mayer and Rush 1-2 punch? I want that tight end.
I too want one of those elite te’s but I think we will see another day 3 type unless one falls in their laps. They found Shultz there and had success with him, think they hit in Ferguson
