I know some about footballing, Lol. But am smart enough to know that there are a lot of people on here that know a lot more than I do.

Is Linehan that bad? I know it’s JG playbook and Linehan is only calling plays from it. I think his situational playcalling leaves a lot to be desired. We have seen him get on the goal line and throw 3 straight times.

Was it up to him to install new plays, formations and route tree this offseason? If it was then he didn’t. You had Dez on twitter saying he new the keys and routes. So basically nothing new. Same tired Offense and plays that defenses already know. I can imagine the relief of the panthers coming out and seeing nothing that’s going to confuse them. Did Linehan do this when at other teams.

I am guessing that JG is ok with all this or he would take control of the playcalling. I wonder how much longer JJ is going to let this go. He left the game Sunday and had nothing to say. Very much unlike him.

I would prefer letting Linehan go moreso than Garrett (they both need to go however). All the talk over the off-season was a new dynamic offense, creative plays, blah blah blah. I saw none of that this weekend. Just curls and running right up the middle. Hell, let me call plays. I'll get you either the same to better production and I'll do it for a lot cheaper.

He did pretty good in Detroit and first couple years here. I think dak just sucks that bad personally. But hey, him and Garrett been praising dak since he got here so I guess you gotta lay in the bed you make (or something like that)

I think he’s just stale and doesn’t know what to do with Dak...

I think he likes traditional pocket QBs and he’s been at times shoving a triangle into a square hole trying to make to gel things to work

Yes Linehan is that bad. He got more control over the offense and even hired his illegitimate love child, Kellen. JJ apparently has other concerns.........

He's another coach that made his living off of a HOFer and hoodwinked this FO into thinking he was some sort of genius.

I wish one of the guys on here that break down the games would break down his play calls vs a better play caller and our cluttered offense vs an open offense that confuses the D.

Although we did Sunday and Dak missed him we hardly ever get guys wide open. Or hell, open period.

We refuse to run rub routes from bunch formations.

If you fire Linehan (which I am figuring will happen) and bring in a new OC then he needs to bring his own playbook. This playbook is just outdated and opposing defenses know it better than our new WR do.

Look at Linehan's head coaching record. 8-8 to 3-13 to 0-4. Now look at Dak. Linehan has a pattern of regression.

We were singing his praises in 2014 and 2016.

In 2014, Romo was calling the plays, and in 2016, the league was prepping for Romo's plays and didn't know what Dak was yet.

So, yeah, he might be that bad.

Not sure if he's part of the problem, or not. What I do know is that it's unfair to judge him based on what happens this season when he's been given so little to work with.

Both JG & SL are stuck in the 90's. They have been passed by a league that has evolved and requires dynamic adjustments that play to players strengths. They do not have players compatible with their scheme nor a scheme compatible with their players.
JG playbook is from the 90’s. A time when we had a dominant team that imposed its will on everyone. With the salary cap you can’t have a team like that any more. You have to use some creativity and do things that help the players be there best. They did it by dumbing the Offense down for Dak in his rookie year. It’s been figured out and DC have stacked boxes and are making the Offense take the next step. They can’t so far.

eve though SJ reacted badly to Troys remarks I believe it planted the first true seed on FJG and SL being short lived for this team.. dont think for minute Jerry wasn't listening and behind closed doors SJ knows he correct..every players that has left has admitted this offense is vanilla, predictable and lacks creativity. Dez might be a joke right now but with so many saying this how much longer before the Jones say goodbye to this offense? it evident they had all offseason and knew the flaws of this team and how they needed to approach game one and thats all we got? th 15 carrys to Zeke should tell the story..*** were they thinking, well they weren't ..I could draw up better plays in the abandoned sand lot and move the ball better..It over for this is a dated concept and you have some weapons here like one Zeke, two yes laugh but Rico can be utilized and Tavon and Thompson with some speed and they just didnt even try enough..

Linehan’s learning that he has a depleted O-line, a #1 RB who always starts slow, coupled with a QB who’s inaccurate downfield and throwing to a bunch of JAGs at WR and TE.

Scotty will survive the season, but if the W-L record is bad enough, he’ll be sacrificed to protect the Crimson Clapper.

Dak isn't inaccurate downfield, he's inaccurate short and intermediate. Needs to get better at that or there will be more games like Sunday in the future.

Yeah. It wasn’t Gregory questions. He didn’t want to answer about Linehan playcalling being the same and Dak not playing well.

The guy has had Moss, Calvin, and Dez... Come on.

He's too basic.

Give me an oldschool run game with a modern day pass game please. I don't want old school everything.
