Jamie Dukes on NFLN just said they should bring him EM in to run the D!

Defense. He was the D-Coordinator for the Patriots a few years ago.

Jamie Dukes isn't just the proverbial, 'dumb jock.'

I thought he was an assistant on the D side, but couldn't remember.

The fact he came off as Mangini being the only good decision, that could be argued. With Todd Bowles being interviewed for HC he would have came across as being better informed had he mentioned him also.

He was Belichick's DC for 1 season I believe, before that he was their DB coach. Then he took the Jets HC job.

Yeah he is.

Dukes is awful. He might have played, but I would argue that a few on this board could do a better job than he does.

I think he was reading pulse involving developments in and around the professional upgrades through the league on approaches to professional coaching perceptions. That a single person was presented was in keeping with touching upon topic briefly and not just singling on an inherent issue involved with decisions of a head coach when the event dictating the talk was Jason Garrett becoming the Cowboy Head Coach. The headline for media involvement was already established. Jamie would have had to second placed the event being publicised to have gone stronger into that aspect. That WOULD have been poor journalism in that segment.

Yea, those on site throw some real killer parties with top rock concerts and boxing matches for entertainmnet at the 'Zone' Stadium allright.

I'll hold my breath on ESPN being supplanted by another media force in the industry...any day now.

I see your point...yep, pass the Ripple.:) Maybe he'll be replaced by Steve Young this next season...think?

Mangini is WAY over rated. I believe he was only the D.C for New England for one season, and you can bet that every defensive call went right thru BB's headset too and HE had final say. Since that time he has done next to nothing, except get fired from two different head coaching gigs. Wouldnt touch him with a ten foot pole.

Mangini is young and has a nice amount of experience, that would be a safe move.

But you would have to wonder about him looking to HC a college team or something after a year

Hey, Middie..and as Reality used to say: 'Isn't reality great!'

Don't worry, Jamie isn't off my aw **** list for much anti-Cowboy bias.

But get this, Sporano is still officially the Head Coach for Miami...

3-4 D guy.

He's good.

he is. very much so. DBs were his forte IIRC - he got by with a WR at corner ... in the freaking superbowl.

After two firings, he's got enough stink on him to stay for a while. Coughlin might also have some interest if he loses his DC. Probably not going back to the Pats though

hes neither minded and anything not said about him is worth leaving alone. The guy proved his failure time and time again, lets just let him leave the league with the shirt on his back and forget he existed.

Overrated is how I would describe him as well. But to answer your question - Mangina is offensive to my mind, how's that?
