Last year it would have been unthinkable if Lee was in the draft and draft eligible to see Lee available at number 16. The talk was he would have been a top 5 pick. He was coming off a 1000 yard freshman season and almost 1800 yards receiving sophmore year with a second round receiver playing across from him.

It is interesting to compare him to Sammy Watkins. If they were both in the draft last year, Watkins would be the less talked about prospect as Watkins struggled and did not each 1000 years for the year. This past year it was Lee who struggled with some injuries and poor QB play. Although take a look at his sophmore highlights and he looks pretty special. His sophmore numbers compare up against anyone's.

I don't think I would take him at 16, but isn't he a guy that falls to the ravens type team and they wind up with the best receiver in the class down the road?

Yeah he's very under the radar going into the draft, love to see him fall to 47 but highly unlikely.

He didn't exactly help himself at the combine. I think he was expected to be taller and faster, not that 6' with a 4.52 40 is bad by any means. He was pretty banged up last year as well. He was indeed a bona fide phenom at 1 point and could easily be a huge steal for whoever gets him though. Looks like Chip recruited him at Oregon so hopefully its not the Eagles that end up with that luck.

Gets nicked up too much for me, but he was a wow player at USC.

I think he is a great player. He reminds me of Pierre Garcon. Seems like a good route guy too. Seems to separate from corners so I anticipate him being field fast despite average 40 time for WR. Would like him but I don't think we can afford the luxury of straying from d line with our premium picks.

I remember when people were calling him a top 5 lock like back in 2012

There are players ever year that drop the year of their draft compared to speculation the previous year.
Sometimes other players move up, sometimes they move down some,or maybe both.

For example...
Two years ago, people said Matt Barkley may even be the 1st overall pick (upper 1st rd at worst). Then when. Draft time came last year, he wasn't even drafted until the 4th rd

he definitely could be a player that ends up playing at a level higher than where he's drafted and could be designated a steal.

i'm a big USC fan so and thus seen a lot of Lee. he is the definition of dynamic but also showed a lot of inconsistencies. he is a real weapon with the ball in his hands but he struggled a lot with dropping easy passes. bad QB play or not (and trust me it sucked this last year) he had a lot of balls hit him in the hands and hit the ground. he also has a very bad habit of not protecting the ball all the time when running and fumbled a lot.

i think those factors have affected his once top 10 pick potential more so than his combine results, though that didn't help him either.

i'd love to see him wearing the star & i think he'd greatly compliment Dez & T-Will, but i don't think it would be justified at #16. maybe if we traded back into the mid 20s the value could fit though.

not a big fan of Lee (for a lot of the reasons already listed by others)...he is the type of guy that I hope someone else grabs before out FO looks at him...he shouldn't even be considered at #16, and he likely goes before #47...even if we traded down in the first, I still don't want a WR that isn't named Evans with our first pick (and I don't really want Evans, but I would be kinda excited about him wearing the star too)

The only receivers I would want at #16 would be Watkins and Evans, in that order.

Otherwise, I'm more keen on spending a 3rd-5th on a WR.

I want to see DL/OL picked in the 1st and 2nd. Doesn't matter which, as long as they're good football players.

Super strong draft this year for WRs in those rounds anyway. Thumbs up
