Hammys are god's way to gift the "stars" rest during the preseason.

Most of the big stars take advantage of the hammys and assorted maladies to take the afternoons off with the trainers.

With McFadden's injury history it's something to worry about he had hammy issues with the Raiders.

That to me is the concern. if the report said Witten missed a couple of days with hamstring I would not give it a second thought but when you look at the injury history and see the hamstring injury that has plagued McFadden then this is a bit of a concern.

The poster who's blowing it off as a non-concern says all players get muscle soreness he must not be aware of McFadden's injury history.

to an extent he is right a lot of player get soreness and tightness in muscles but as we know McFadden has a history with hamstring so when I see he is sitting due to a strained hamstring then of course there is concern. Me being concerned does not mean McFadden is going to miss time I don't have a crystal ball I just know the injury history of McFadden. I hope it all works out for him and he shows why he was drafted and though of as highly as he was. If a guy ever needed a break to go his way McFadden and Lee would be at the top of that list

He was right in the sense that a lot of players get muscle soreness but any type of muscle soreness with McFadden especially with his hamstring is a concern. It's not a real good sign with him having problems with it weeks before camp.

Troy Hambrick could run behind this line ...R.E.L.A.X.

Wait till you see Ryan run behind this line...Ryan is the best pure runner we have on the roster.

And is yet another's RB that can't stay healthy and has had a few knee swellings already this off season.

I don't think Murray is any less likely to get injured than McFadden. As far as injuries go, I think they have about the same probability.

Have you seen how much time McFadden has missed? He has like 4 seasons with 7 or fewer starts.

He has like 100 more attempts in 3 additional years compared to Murray.

Murray was frequently hurt in Dallas. McFadden was basically always hurt in Oakland.

From pictures it looks like McFadden participated in at least the individual drills today.

Nobody saw THAT coming. He's like Felix Jones, but a lot worse.

Do we need to provide the list of games that McFadden has missed with hamstring issues? Or better yet, his full list of games missed?

http://sportsinjurypredictor.com/injury-predictor/player/8781

There's a clear history here that some of us choose not to blind ourselves to.

Exactly, I'm not giving up on McFadden but there is a long laundry list of injuries. Hitchens there is no continual history of injury so the concern about his Hamstring being tight is not as big of a concern. I don't think some are getting that, it is not the injury in and of itself it is the player with a history of injury sustaining once again an injury he has dealt with his entire NFL career.

So he started declining at the age of 23?

What does age have to do with anything? You can start to decline at any age in any sport. And I was off one year. He's been on the decline the last 3 seasons. He's averaged barely 3 yards a carry each of the last 3 seasons. That's pathetic. He's been a pretty big disappointment in the pros. With his college teammate Felix, who can't even find a team to play for anymore. McFadden will be in the same situation in the next few years.
