We've only played the Skins in the playoffs twice? Only the '72 and '82 championship games come to mind. Any others?

You know what they say... If you have to ask... ;)

That's right. The Commanders are 2-0 versus Dallas in the playoffs. It is the only thing where they have a historical advantage as far as I can tell.

They also have a historical advantage in crossdressing fans.

They've got us 2-0. If you think about it though, many, many contests between these clubs have had playoff consequences-- both of last year's games for example.

I know they love to bring that up against us, what they fail to realize is that historically there was little chance for us to play...

We've only been in the playoffs together 9 times. Out of those times, they lost in the first round 5 of those 9 years.

It's pretty easy to break down the two franchises since 1960:

Regular Season Record:
Dallas 392-292-6
Washington 357-321-12

NFC Division Titles:
Dallas: 18
Washington: 6

NFC Conference Championships:
Dallas 10
Washington 5

Playoff Appearances:
Dallas 27
Washington 15

Playoff Record:
Dallas 33-22
Washington 20-12

NFL Championship Appearances:
Dallas 2
Wasington 0

NFC Championship Appearances:

Dallas 14
Washington 6

Superbowl Appearances:
Dallas 8
Washington 5

Superbowl Wins:
Dallas 5
Washington 3

All-time Head to Head:

54-35-2 (Dallas)

Playoff Head to Head:
2-0 (Washington)

That strike season where our starters crossed the line and we had a full team and the Skins still had all scabs and whupped us still hurts. :(

I think Washington has only been to 4 SBs, unless there is a SB appearance I'm missing pre-Joe Gibbs.

They lost to the Dolphins in Super Bowl 7. They also lost the Raiders in 18.

Plus, the three wins.

the 79 game was basically a playoff game, final game of the year winner moved on, loser went home

No wonder the Washington front office obsesses over Dallas and the Commanders fans hate the Cowboys.

It's pitiful isn't it Chief...

Not only that, but it breaks the 10th Commandment... ;)
