Marty McFly’s crazy kicks in Back To The Future II have long been a geek’s dream. Ostensibly made by Nike in the film, they would tighten themselves around your feet automatically and, more important, they’ve been the paragon of ultimate geekiness for a certain subset of shoe fanatics.

Well, now it looks like you, too, can go back… to the future. Nike just sent out invitations to an event in LA tomorrow hinting at the actual existence of the Air Mags. The invitation included a pair of Doc’s aluminum shades and a bunch of BTTF merch, so clearly something is afoot.

The handle "Sam I Am" I've used far far far longer than nyc. (since maybe '95 or '96) The nyc handle was born here when I joined. Of course, you remember Bios and maybe the handle Frag from back in the day. (when was that? '93 or '94?) Though I've retired the use of Frag and Bios.

btw, I will never be a nobody. I'm the king, I rule, I'm the ****ing PRESIDENT! :laugh2:

I will always be the notorious nyc! :D

I'd buy them for say 60-80 bucks but they aren't really meant to be mass produced, so I'll likely never own a pair.

They probably cost more to make.

The guy that bought them last night spent over 37k.

I would buy, them but not at that price.

I'm taking out a second mortgage so I can buy a pair. They are going to be so sweet!

Do they actually auto lace at the push of a button? Or is that still only just a movie thing?

Movie thing.

No power laces.....screw these shoes.

Well, in that case, I'm not that enthused. It's a good cause, but a hideous shoe with none of what made the shoe cool in the movie.

If they were in the movie they are a costume prop and nothing more. Are these things actually supposed to work? I cant even inagine the liability issues.

But you ruined the song!!

"You down with N-Y-C .. yeah you know me .. who's down with N-Y-C .. all the fan..boiiiiiii's" :D :D

Raise the roof!

Apparently Nike got a patent for power lacing 1-2 years ago so they know how to do it.
