Is Our 2nd Rounder a Faster Version of TJ Watt?

Henry had 42 touchdowns in his college career (3 seasons)
Mafah had __ touchdowns in his college career (4 seasons)

fill in the blank
How in the hell does this come up during a conversation about our pass rusher I mean how does a running backs come into this I don't get it someone's pulling things out of their buttocks...

By the way we don't need Phil to be derek Henry because he won't , but we can hope that he's something in the middle..... Like maybe Marion Barber he has that kind of game, i'm not saying he'll be ALL that but that's a little bit lower expectation but something we could use here..

Donovan Ezeiruaku might just be an instant jolt of lightning in bottle, ready to wreck havoc on NFL offenses. With very long arms and great short area quickness and burst, along with enormous strength for his weight, DE may not just be a situational defensive end, but a roving stud whom Eberflus can move around to keep opposing offenses worrying from where this uber-talented impact player will strike. And that is after the opposing offenses have to worry about Micah Parsons. This Donovan Ezeiruaku kid has the football radar instincts to make splash plays like the smaller D. Overshown, who himself proved to be a great impact player on defense.

Like many Wisconsin players who actually are better in the pros than in College, such as TJ Watt, who was an instant star for the Steelers, whom the Boys passed over for Taco Charlton, I have the feeling we have an instant impact player in, whom other teams will regret passing over in the draft, who will as a rookie make tackles for a loss, give lots of heat to opposing QB's, causing errant throws and will pair with Micah to be the greatest pass rush threat duo since the glory days of Harvey Martin and Too Tall Jones.

He likes to be called "EASY." So I suggest at home games after a splash play he makes and a timeout on the field, that they play some of the great Eagles song TAKE IT EASY!
I am interested to see how he and Abdul Carter compare this season. Eze had 16.5 sacks last year to Carter's 12. Would be funny if we end up with the better pass rusher.

I’m more excited about this EzE than anyone we drafted. Has the potential to be another elite pass rusher for us
There's no crime in hoping he's an elite pass rush here maybe that is what he is that's why I mentioned Robert Quinn there's a big difference between an elite pass rusher and an elite defender TJ Watt is a defensive player of the year type that's a big time difference the expectations are completely different... They don't even have the same body type or game so that's why this is a comp but yes we can all see the potential as a great pass rusher,

potential..yes

I doubt that there's no reason to make that comp but Abdul Carter reminds me like somebody recreated Micah Parsons same numbers same team same position they look the same on when you're watching the game...

But if EZE is anywhere in the same zip code as Carter, it's a win for the Cowboys, because of where we picked him.... He does have that potential to be a pure pass rusher like Robert Quinn ,you get some of those guys that are not all-around defenders, but they can definitely come in and make quarterbacks have bad days...

I’m starting to think Jerry is paying people to pump sunshine up our bums. The amount of crap being posted here is at an all-time high and ironically it comes after one of the most demoralizing seasons of the past 25 years.
Hey, just a simple friendly warning but, you might need to now be on the lookout... Cuz you might get a post or 3 deleted. And then your ability to post in the same thread will be locked too if you don't present your posts in a more positive fashion or gosh forbid, offend a Zone favorite.

Like I said, just a friendly warning.
It can happen to you too.

Fun times.
Cowboys!

I don't know how their seasons will compare, but Eze is the more fine-tuned pass rusher. Carter, like a lot of young players, relies a lot on his speed. Eze doesn't have the same speed, so he's worked on moves and countermoves to get the job done. You can't coach speed, which is why Carter went so early in the draft, but some of the best pass rushers have been players who just understand how to use what they've got.

I'm not necessarily expecting Eze to be the better player because Carter has all the physical skills to be a bona fide stud. Eze could have better success at first, though, simply because he knows how to do more than speed rush.

I agree ain't this crazy that was what I was thinking when Dallas drafted Eze in the 2nd his numbers were better than Carters.This is a steal if their ever was one,he 's got that bend to get under offensive tackles on his way to the QB .

Dallas has the personnel to run the 3-4 ,they could run it .Parsons and these edge rushers and the current D line group are Ideal for it.I could see it working,It could be used at certain times.Does Eberflus run this at all.
We have no NT and only one 3-4 DE. Not seeing how that's perfect.

Now, I agree our OLB's are perfect for the 3-4.

Mafah= Henry
Blue= Sanders
Deuce=Sproles
Juanyeh Watson= Woodson
Donovan Ezeiruaku= TJ Watt

Ya gotta love the honeymoon period.....
After the draft this board turns into the ComedyZone.
