I believe on first take they just said we were #1 and Houston was #2.

Its been 3 games.. pump the brakes. Houston's D was very good last year too, ours wasn't.

Im interested to see how our D holds up now that the real refs are back. Im thinking alot more PI calls on our DB's.

Yet when talking 5 OL players who have only played a short time we are to just drive off the cliff. Strange how any good news or stat comes with a put the brakes on but any bad and well it is just never going to improve. :laugh2:

We were the number one defense last year before we played the eagles in week 7.

I don't believe i was joining in on the "our OL sucks and we need fullsale changes" talk, was i?

Although, in fairness, our OL does suck right now.

I'd say it could be, but losing Church is going to hurt big-time.

I'm just point out after 3 weeks any news that is good comes with a hold on put the breaks on yet any thing bad is not treated that way. That is what I see. People are quick to dismiss anything good and go crazy on anything bad. The bad can't improve and the good is not that good right? :laugh2:

I believe they are MUCH better than last year however ELITE might be premature.

Im more of a "wait and see" to both initially, but i think its pretty reasonable that the bad should be more of an immediate concern than the good.

Our OL is terrible right now.. if they don't improve substantially, i don't see anyway we can get deep in postseason play, so to be concerned that it needs to improve alot, and quickly.. is understandable.

I remember them being the #1 run defense, not sure of total defense.

As I said people start writing the season off because of the play of the OL and yet the defense playing very good comes with well it means nothing or put the breaks on. I agree lets see how this all plays out but I don't see that mindset with the OL all I see is people acting as if there can be no improvement. I find this funny as hell.

I hear ya. I understand where you are coming from with all the chicken littles, but certainly there can be improvement and i think we are talented enough on this OL to be able to play alot better as a unit than we have so far. Smith is an All Pro level type guy, Free has shown he can play very effectively in the past, Cook is doing well, and Kowalski played very well when given a chance last season at C, and Livings is off to a very good start so far. Im sure we can improve, just need to show that our effort and intelligence matches up to our potential.

Yeah playing against Eli was no test at all.

Kind of but not really a true test the way they played. there d played better than ours with 5-6 backups in there so.... Granted their offense is way better than ours when they catch the ball.
