I truely understand how the cowboy nation is in need of something to be done to give us hope going into next year. But is Reeves really the answer? The guy has gone to four superbowls but lost all four. Is he really the one to get us over the hump? If it was marv levy would we be as excited? Reeves only connection to championship winning football is when he played and coached under Tom landry. On his own he is just 0-4. Prossman

Nah, Reeves had nothing to offer, but thank God jerry handled it in a manner that didn't further damage confidence that he hasn't become Al Davis.

if we have to bring in reeves to solve all wades coaching problems, what do we need wade for? fire him and bring in someone else. Prossman

Apparently someone does get it.

Replace Wade with Reeves, that is a small upgrade. But it is still a 1-2 year fix.

And having 1 >60 yr old coach be a mentor to another > 60 year old coach is dysfunctional by definition.

If we have to bring in reeves to run our offense because garrett can't get it done , the simple fix is to get a new offensive cordinator. Why do we have to prop up all these bad coaches? We are the dallas Cowboys and the cowboys are about winning Superbowls and nothing else matters! Could we luck up and win a superbowl 1 out of the next 10 years sure. But it is stupid to settle for that when you have the talent to win 4 out of 6. prossman

It's even more laughable that the "13-3" team from 2007 due to the RJ and Wade were so in tune and 1 year later they both need counseling.

Wade is a lame duck, lame duck coaches are either extended or fired before that last year.

There is no reason to keep Wade, any discipline he lays down is not going to have any teeth because the players and staff know he is gone next year.

That is the most puzzling thing to me. Bringing in Reeves likely would have made him a mid-year successor next year if we struggle. if not, Wade may have been re-upped if we made it deep into the playoffs (unlikely-but it would be on the plate).

I assume now that it may be status quo all the way around for next year, and while not the best initial option, it may be now

Wade can't run both the defense and the offense and be head coach. No one could -- successfully. So you bring someone in to tell Garrett what to do.

No, he has health problems, which is probably the main reason why he didn't accept the deal.

I can't say I blame him. I think Dan made the right choice. No love lost, no loss of respect from what I see. He's still a cool dude.

Man that's almost an insult to ole' Senile Al. I mean atleast Al in all his senility has managed to get his team to a Superbowl within the last decade that the Cowboys have failed to even win one playoff game in.

I still think Senile Al could teach Jethro a thing or two about running a football team.........Ouch, that's bad, real bad!:)

Or be like a normal organization and fire garrett and hire your own OC.

Or Hire Executive OC / HC and be outside the box I guess
