Not a bust yet but he's done nothing so far to warrant his draft position. He may get a bigger chance this year with Jimmy Smith retired.

Yeah he's a bust, my Jags friend rails on him all the time for never stepping his game up and for being soft.

In addition to another 1st round bust WR, throw in Panthers WR Keary Colbert. If he had any real talent Carolina would never have signed an effective but aging Keyshawn.

Lelie's a bust too.

Throw in Stallworth...Rod Gardner....the sad part is all these guys are rich beyond most of our wildest dreams and they collectively suck.

You do realize that Keary Colbert of the panthers was taken in the Second round. :D

None of them busted as bad as Rashaun Woods.

That was crazy.

I thought he would pan out as a Possesion WR at worst...even as a #2.

I know he isn't a WR, but I was trolling on the Giants message board and was surprised to see that many Giants fans are done with DL William Joseph. I liked the guy in the draft and actually wanted us to draft him a few years ago....

I forget which Dallas mediot says it, but its true. Rookie wide receivers are like NBA rookie point guards. Every year there are several "great ones", but they are more miss than hit.

Charlie Rogers was supposed to be the next Randy Moss. :lmao:

Last I heard Reggie Williams was practicing as the #3 WR behind Matt Jones and Ernest Wilford. You gotta figure if the Jags had any confidence in him they'd bump him ahead of Wilford with all the money they have invested him and the potential he should have.

Yeah, me too. I really wanted him for the Eagles, and almost everyone thought he'd be good. He was supposed to be the most polished & NFL ready of the recievers in that "receiver deep" draft.

True, he was one of the most decorated WRs, to come out of Oklahoma State.

In my opinion teams tend to find more talent in the later rounds of the draft than they often do in the first.

Good point the same can be said about quarterbacks too.

Every year some scout or NFL analyst, annoint someone like Tim Couch, the next Troy Aikman, or Ryan Leaf, the next Brett Farve.

It's mostly hit and miss definitely in the first round don't get me wrong there are some first rounders, that live up to the hype but only a few.

I don't think I would consider Colbert a bust just yet. He had a pretty good rookie season but hit the sophomore slump last year. He has looked very good so far in pre-season with Smith on the sidelines. I think he is a better receiver when he is the 3rd guy so having Keyshawn there will actually help him.

He's not a top guy by any means but he can be fairly effective as the 3rd WR. Not too bad for a 2nd round pick and certainly not a bust yet.

He's turned out to be more like Kate Moss than anything else.
