Is Romo sick?

I am referring to his throws. Alot of passes were down or came up short. I don't want to focus too much on it because Dallas won but he and rest of team will have to be whole lot better next week if they want to advance.

I agree he was underthrowing passes earlier in the game. And he was holding onto the ball and running around in circles in the 1st half. But it's still had to really fault him. He was probably feeling pain from all those hits he was taking, and he was probably hearing footsteps in his head. But he remained poised, regained his composure, didn't make any mistakes, and came back strong at the end. I thought he had a great game considering the circumstances.

Romo played great. Lead the team back from a 14 point deficit during a playoff game haters said he couldn't. Jeez, you haters are just unbelievable.
ROMO could win 3 SB MVP's in a row and the haters would still hate. They are mentally unbalanced in addition to being morons.

Some of the short throws were just him throwing the ball away because the coverage was too tight. The long pass to Williams that got batted down by the defender was a little short.

I did not think Romo played well today. If he isn't getting max protection he becomes skittish. That being said, he did make huge passes at end and we continue to enjoy this run.

ROMO played a great 2nd half. I do not know what more folks want.

The truth, as usual, is somewhere in the middle. It wasn't Romo's best game. He's at least partially responsible for some of the messed-up protections early on. And that second sack he took before the 51-yarder was really not smart: when he turned around and starting running backward, that was terrible. And of course, he fumbled once, although he didn't have much chance there.

But he stayed with it, hung in there and made a bunch of great throws. He never threw one up for grabs; there were no near-interceptions in the game. Tremendous job in the face of a whole lot of pressure.

What do you expect from someone with constant pressure? Even the greats fall under pressure. The only thing you can do when the blitz keeps killing you is stick to the run, adjust to the blitz, and don't throw INTs. We did all that. 300 yards and 2 TDs with that kind of pressure is pretty amazing to me.

bingo...."oh youve had 2 back surgeries and youve broken two tranverse process in your back this season? stand in there and take all the hits like a man!"

Bad take. He was sacked 6 times and at least in the first half, constantly under pressure. Romo threw the ball at the feet on a couple plays on purpose so as to avoid the sack. He talked about it post game.

Did a good job of playing the waiting game, and moving in for the kill when the pass rush got tired.

first half rating 103.4
game rating 114.0

Hmm. Are you even responding to me? I didn't say he made bad throws and I said he was under a ton of pressure, so I'm not sure what you're arguing against.

In the post game interview, he stated that he threw several passes low because he wanted there to be NO CHANCE the Detroit would get the ball. He was basically taking the safe route to not give the Lions an easy scoring opportunity. If I had a nickel for every time I've read on this site that he should do that, well, you know....

Getting hit 8 of your first 11 passes can do that to you (especially with back issues). I think considering the beating he was taking early he played tremendously down the stretch to make the necessary plays to win the game. In my book that constitutes playing well.

Yep. I wondered about these throws too. But if you listen to Tony he was thinking about the Vikings playoff game. He didn't wanted to give any throws away knowing that if we just hang in we will get more chances when people start to get tired later in the game.

It was a real sign of maturity.

Seriously? Are you serious? Good grief... just stop posting...

He is the league MVP in my book. The whole world was waiting for him to choke. Instead he gave them the middle finger.

QB rating today of 114. Only in Dallas will you be questioned like this. lol Romo did throw some passes low he also explained he threw low considering the coverage and instead of being the Romo who would try to squeeze ball in and win the game on his own he chose to put the ball where it would not be picked off. In my book that shows signs of a guy who does understand the importance of not making critical mistakes
