If they drafted a QB "For the future" then why wouldnt they just start that QB next year no need to bridge anything, these QB's need to get up and running asap so you can take advantage of the rookie deal. Newsflash - Cooper Rush sucks big time. I don’t care what his record was but we aren’t winning games with his buck sixty passing yardage because our D isn’t good enough to hold teams to 10-13 points when he’s in. He’s a turd in blue/white/sea foam green.

It certainly seemed like the defense stepped up their level of play when Rush was filling in. I remember that it wasn’t that long ago when Dak was struggling to pass for more than 200 yards a game. The Dak lovers defended him and said that the passing yardage didn’t matter as long as the team was winning. I am sure that reasoning doesn’t apply to Rush even when the team wins. Dak has always had his own rules that varies depending on the situation and what excuses are needed to defend his poor play.

We take a QB this year - Like the kid from Tennessee and - we buy Dak out - Rush starts next year ( and maybe beyond ) at a super low cap hit: while the young QB marinates .

Absolutely not. Even if we do draft a QB early this year, which we very well may, if Cooper Rush is starting over him next year that isn't a good thing. You don't go all in on free agency and then switch to Cooper Rush as your QB

yeah, I rather protect Dak, than Hate Dallas for the sake of Bashing Dak and being a cult member. at least my loyalties are in the right place. with Dallas.

and I give all the credit to our defense for pulling through. when the defense couldn't, then it fell apart. he did have one extremley lucky game when he threw for a 100 yards, against the 22nd ranked pass defense and we won the game (Rams), because defense scored once and gifted the offense 3 points with another turnover inside the rams 25. the bottom 14 ranking offenses didn't make it to the playoffs. Rush led the 21st ranked offense and 22nd in scoring. you can be lucky for a few games, but a whole season would fall apart quickly.

I would prefer upgrading the back up. and I will say he did it with a defense that played top 5..... can't say what he would do with a lesser defense, but it would be an easy guess and I have a 99% probability of being right.
