The most unfortunate thing is that Erik Williams (pre-accident) and Larry Allen only played a couple of games together LA's rookie year before EW's accident.

Post-accident EW was not the same.

If you say the 92 or 93 OL was the best, I won't argue.

There's no doubt that Eric Williams wasn't quite the same after his accident, much to my chagrin. It's been a long time since those days came and went, although they were still good enough to win another title for Switzer in '95 but it was, unquestionably, much more of a struggle than it had been earlier. With Jimmy gone, it got much tougher and the team slid into decline without him. So, we'll go with 92 and 93, then. Fair enough.

Man, Erik Williams was a beast. He was the only man on the planet that made Reggie White look like a "jag".
If not for injury, he'd be a hof'er and in the discussion as the best RT ever... imo.

A game San Francisco team was still the nemesis come the NFC Championship time. They didn't just fold...and that is part of the story line as well as just getting rid of 'Benedict Arnold.'

Hilarious.....

La'el's performance? As a rookie playing in a position different than college? And he was a disappointment?

It was 2015. The whole team looked like krap. The season was a disappointment. Difficult to look good when you have to pass protect Cassel in the 4th quarter. However, later that season he contributed to McFadden's thousand yard season once the RB became the primary guy. He was hurt in 2016 and it effected his development.

Now, with another year under his belt with Zeke and Dak behind him, Tyron and Zack beside him, I mean the guy is litterally surroinded by All Pros and Pro Bowlers on every side, he can show the world how he should have been a top ten pick. He can get on the road to warning what he feels he should have.

For him and Cooper this is all about redemption and its difficult to imagine a more favorable circumstance

'They've been the class of the league for so long'

Gimme a break. This guy sounds like the O-line averages 35 years old. La'el is the only one not 26 years old. He is 24. They could play together another 8 seasons.

This O-line has the potential to be the best in NFL history. They are the best right now bar none. They are the most dangerous, like a cannon and Zeke is the cannonball.

"They can't keep taking these hits"

LOL, like there has been mass exit. The Cowboys lost a backup and their most criticized starter. These are the kind of hits you want when you can replace them with 1st round caliber players.

Think that Nate and Step are better than Frederick and Martin?

Remember how small Step was? He was a master of leverage and technique but now and then he got owned. Nate was not that athletic. I think Fredbeard is better NOW. Martin- as good as Nate was yes Martin is better. Much better athlete and that counts big on the line. Erik pre crash and LA were all time players. LA was the greatest O lineman I ever saw play.

The Cowboys have a long history of players hurt, involving traffic accidents.
