Is the mountain too high to climb?

I think our lack of all in the past years has handicapped us to the point where the eagles and commanders are too stacked at all levels where we just have to use the next 3 years to become like them
the commanders are not stacked. good team, but hardly insurmountable.

I agree Washington doesn't scare me at all sure much respect for getting to the NFC championship game but they had a lot of help and a lot of luck and you're right they nearly lost to us twice with a backup quarterback it's a backup team I mean literally almost the whole team in the second game was backups and they literally had to use Marcus Mariota just to win and everybody's giving a little bit too much credit to Jayden Daniels I mean he deserves respect what he did was impressive for a rookie but I saw the same things with Prescott when he was a rookie not that big a deal but yes they should be respected but not scary at all no way I'd be worried about this division..

If you add to it the eagles are not going to be the same team next year...

they've already let go of two of their corners, I mean they're going to have to make some cuts ,losing coaches, in my opinion they overpaid the running back.. I mean yes he deserved a big contract but $20 million for a running back?! I mean I know Saquon Barkley was great last year, but what if the same thing happens to him that happened to Christian McCaffrey they gave him 19,000,000 per for two years that was 38 million, he got injured and even in his year he was healthy they didn't win the Super bowl..
I mean there's a risk being taken by the eagles so they may not repeat winning the division so with luck maybe the Cowboys once again win the division and maybe the other teams have the injury problems maybe the other teams have the bad luck it happens every year is very different I'm not saying the Cowboys are gonna be successful but injuries really sidetrack the Cowboys more than anything last year
The
It's not but the Commanders have a lot going in their favor. Top 5 QB ( rookie deal ), excessive cap space, underrated roster ( not a lot of elite names but every player playing their a____ off, overachieving ), and more importantly, an aggressive owner. An owner who has mandated his GM/coaches to aggressively do whatever it takes for a Super Bowl while Daniel is on his rookie deal.
Wash is pointing up no doubt. But when we’re healthy, and we hopefully actually get a running game we’re tough to beat as well. Gone are the days of the East being a cake walk with a two team race. But that makes it fun at least.

I think if all things go right we can contend in 2026. We need to hit on the next two drafts at these positions though ( defensive end, defensive tackle, wide receiver, right guard, running back, and quarterback). Highly unlikely but that is the way to draft back into Super Bowl contention.

Reality is the Commanders QB is going to get better. Our QB probably won't. They have a ton of money to spend, and we don't. They have an experienced HC and we don't. They have a proven GM and we don't.

I hope I am wrong, but I see us as number 3 in the Division unless the Commanders and Eagles have a ton of injuries and we don't. We need 5 capable starters out of the draft. Clay better find a rabbits foot between now and the draft. We need a ton of good luck.

You realize we beat the Commanders once and should have the second time, right? Nothing says that they automatically get better...we have seen Quinn's teams implode before.

Be a lot easier had they not done some contracts last season and had full access to rework the roster.

The mountain to high to climb? Hell, they first need to dig out of the hole Jerry puts the team in first.

Wishful thinking. They are one of the teams with the most cap space, have a legit GM and a franchise caliber QB entering his 2nd season.

Maybe not but there is nothing that says we are going to even be at the level we were last year much less better. The odds are that they will be better.

Anything is possible .... but things clearly look rosier in Commander land.

perhaps. or perhaps daniels hits the wall. like the texans and stroud. still waiting on the chargers to be serious.

being aggressive ie deebo / lattimore makes them likely to be a headache, but we've seen this song and dance time and time again.
