Is the NFC really ours to lose?

Check out Green Bay's schedule:

@ Denver
@ Kansas City
Minnesota
Carolina
@ Detroit
@ Dallas
Oakland
@ St. Louis
@ Chicago
Detroit

Their division is weak (well, every NFC division is weak but ours), and they play against a mediocre AFC West. Green Bay's only game where they'll be the underdog is our Thursday game against them. They probably won't lose more than 2-3 games the rest of the way.

We have a tough second-half schedule with five division games after the bye week, and with Green Bay's weak schedule down the stretch it makes the Packers/Cowboys game even more of a must-win for homefield throughout.

I say they go 11-5 so we need to be just one win better then them and I think we will be.

It is hard to know which teams will start coming on and which ones will fall back. Seems each year some teams who have gotten off to slow starts end up finishing the season strong.

I can certainly see another three to five losses. KC and Denver on the road are not cake walks. Our game at home against the Pack is a big must win.

I think Greenbay is going to lose at Denver this coming week, they are coming off a bye and they have a very good pass defense with Bailey and Bly. Though Denver has been awful vs the run Greenbay doesnt really have the weapons to exploit it.

I think we should be more concerned with beating our own division opponents. That's 6 battles over a short period of time. Either Wash and/or NYG will make a hard run like Philthy did last year. We take care of our business and the rest will take care of itself.

i give gb ten games they aint great on offense

I don't think they are great either, they have no run game to speak of which will catch up with them, and Favre will not be great every week (see yesterday). Their defense is what will have to carry them.

Yep. Favre is playing at a top tier status this season so far, but i see him wearing down as the season goes on. It's their defense that will be the biggest impact and teams will exploit their lack of a running game.

Given how well we played in our first 4 wins that is the perception. Got a few cracks when we barely beat the Bills but we pulled it out. Loss to Patriots didn't help but frankly any NFC teams who play the Patriots probably will have even a more difficult time--although some like the Skins and Giants somehow think they can win.
