I was very pleased to see a couple of well timed, well executed screen passes. We should be proficient at this with our personell but I haven't seen a consistent screen in our offense since the Dorsett days. Romo is getting much better at it. Props to JJ for the big play down the stretch.

I hope so...as long as it works. :)

Romo made me realize why the screen pass never worked before with our team. We haven't had a quarterback who could throw it since Aikman. Bledsoe would usually freak out and throw it early or late or get sacked.

last year we used it quite a bit, pretty sure bledsoe was the one thrwoing it.

Believe it or not, Julius just doubled his reception total for the year today.

we also haven't had a line that could move a lick since Aikman

Kosier and Gurode pay huge dividends on screen plays w/ their mobility

Yeah? How did that work out?

It worked out very well actually both our running back are pretty darn good in space.

It failed more than it worked from what I remember. It never stopped teams from blitzing us relentlessly like it's designed to.

Aikman wasn't that good at throwing screens. Maybe that is because his line was terrible in getting out to screen block. Either way, Dallas hasn't been good at screens since Landry was coach.

well our line this year is arguably better than last, and yet bledsoe was still the starter all season last year and he wasn't really taking sacks like he was this year. so it musta done something for us

Just another weapon in Romo's arsenal and something else for defenses to worry about. JJ should be deadly on screens.

It's not a coincidence that the offensive line suddenly improved when Romo became the starter. If you notice, teams aren't blitzing us like they did to Bledsoe. They can't, because he makes great decisions quickly, and under pressure.
