Does anyone find it strange his deal is still not official? Is there another Gore move going to happen?

no...they are probably making it seem like they didnt do anything early

The NFL would be in a real bind if they tried to punish the Dolphins. All the folks we heard about on sat/sun have signed the exact deals starting today.

Yes want to make it look like they didn't break any rules. NFL network says press conference later today.

Plus they say Suh is big on reading the fine print.

I was thinking that as well but they have announced the other deals. Reports are saying he isn't even in the building. All the other big names are official just strange his isn't.

No there are rumors that deal isn't written up legitimately or something so MIA is either working on it or waiting to present to league to hope they miss issue or something.

good point - and it wont be Haynesworth like but I don't think they'll ever get a full return on that investment. I think that kind of money is crazy for a team to spend where 3 excellent players could have been had at his annual salary.

Side subject, I find it funny they(Mia) were highly scrutinized for haze-gate and then spent the most money for the league's most known offender (in-game).

Nah. The Dolphins got caught cheating and violating an NFL memo reminding teams the rules they must adhere to during the 3-day "tampering" period. But it's the Dolphins so no one cares.

So anyways what they're doing is they're trying to make like they did nothing wrong by killing a day or two before making the official announcement.

Yeah, just wait until he takes his first cheap shot on Brady, that will be fun to see the league's reaction.

But if he's really that good, then why is he available?

Just out of curiosity, do you realize that 2 other people in this thread said virtually the exact same thing I did?

Sorry, but there's 3 of us in this thread that all believe the Dolphins got caught crossing the line during the "legal tampering" period and then just pushed back the official announcement to deflect attention. Funny how you didn't respond to any of them.

I really am living rent free in your head, aren't I?

You have shown you have an agenda. Thats what separates you from the others.

Looking at the numbers, it is a very strange payout schedule.... he is going to receive $26.5 million of real money this year (of course, the vast majority of that is the signing bonus).... Then he will receive $23.5 million of real money next year, still a healthy amount. But then in 2017 he only gets $9.9 million.

His cap-hit is a measly $6 million this year, but then $28.5 next. After that, it goes down to a reasonable $15 million in 2017.

Dolphins better hope he doesn't get used to those $20 million salaries and decides to hold out the year he's making less than $10 million :D
