I think not.

John Riggins, Pro Football Hall of Famer, eviscerates Jim Zorn, who happens to coach Riggo's former team - the Commanders.

Riggo thinks the Commanders coach can coach -- a high school team. He thinks Zorn is too soft and too upbeat.

Riggo's message: "You're out of your league, Jim . . . No offense to you...I wish you luck but you are gone."

Aikman on the 3-2 Cowboys

Barry Horn/Reporter E-mail News tips

On his weekly Ticket appearance with Dunham & Miller, Fox lead analyst Troy Aikman insisted the Cowboys team he watched play against the Broncos and Chiefs the last two weeks is "talented."

"Are they playing as good as they can? I don't think they are," he said.

Aikman said he couldn't put his finger on the problem. He wouldn't lay blame on the coaching staff, which is where most other folks have been pointing.

He did, however, bring up an interesting scenario in the wake of Miles Austin's breakout game _ Aikman did cite poor KC tackling for some of Austin's yardage and long TDs. If the game against the Chiefs had come before the game against the Broncos, would Tony Romo have been more willing to look at Austin at the end of the Denver game? Recall, Romo unsuccessfully tried twice to connect with Sam Hurd in Denver. Both times Austin was open on the other side of the field.

Dish and DirecTV: Where's our games?

Barry Horn/Reporter E-mail News tips

We're deep into a "he said-he said" situation here with our friendly satellite carriers -- Dish Network and DirecTV.

Dish and Fox Sports Southwest can't agree on 20 Stars games _ about one quarter of the season _ that have been taken from Channel 27 and added to the FSSW schedule this season. For now, those games will be carried by all the cable systems and DirecTV but not Dish. So why won't Dish carry them? Dish subscribers missed out on last night's Stars romp over Nashville. You can be sure the grievance between Dish and FSSW is all about $$$$.

I would suggest all Stars fans switch to DirecTV today except....DirecTV has dropped Versus, the cable network of the NHL. That would rob Stars fans of lots of hockey. Again, DirecTV is the only carrier, satellite or cable, not to have Versus. You can be sure the grievance between DirecTV and Versus is all about $$$$.

Sorry satellite companies, if the others can play with FSSW and Versus, why can't you?

Also, I'll point out here that the next four TCU football games are scheduled to be on Versus. DirecTV subscribers won't have an opportunity to watch the undefeated 12th-ranked Frogs.

If things go very wrong this year I can see several former Cowboys coming out and calling for Wade's head.

Why do we need it?

I love John Riggins, but what exactly did that accomplish. I even agree with him, but did he help or hurt his team?

I say he hurt them. We want our former stars to hurt this team? I don't.

Look, I want nothing more than a 6'8" 350 pound fire breathing monster with Bill Walsh's acumen for Offense and Belicheck's acumen for Defense. I'd love to have a Head Coach who the players are so scared of that they run through walls.

Until that guy exists can we just try to figure out how this team can maximize their current assets?

That Riggo clip is unreal. The Skins have A LOT of issues right now and they aren't going away anytime soon.

thats what im wishing for too Hostile, a Head Coach just like that the players fear and respect and that breathes fire on Jerry Jones too. Tells him, look you have done it your way for 13 plus years, even with Parcells you had the final say on 53 man roster, and did that work no. Now, let me do it my way Jerry Jones, I will get you back to the superbowl winning championships, but my way!

There are very few that would be able to get after the players and command enough respect from Jerry that he actually might listen. Michael Irvin is one such person.

Riggins comes off as unbalanced in this interview: sure he's right, but my God have some class man. He's a jerk: always has been.
