Without really thinking about it, I would venture to say no other team has the quality depth dallas has at WR, RB, and TE. Our key to the season is for our OL to gel and stay realitively injury free.

If we can accomplish this, we will smash teams weak on the line, hit the seams on the backers, or play catch on the outside on weak secondaries.

I was convinced we were going to be a smashmouth team this year. Again, assuming our line holds up, our offense has the ability to hit the defense anywhere. Play aggressive. Get the lead. Run Julius Run!

I am so stoked!!!

We still live and die by the OL.

Nice moves today. Man, I go away for a few hours ... and voila! New WR and new OLB. Sweet.

So how to you pronounce Fujita?

Foo-GEE-ta?

or

Foo-HEE-ta?

If the name is Japanese as someone mentioned, pronounce the 'j.'

I'm convinced you're a professor-you're way to smart for the common man like me.

I think we're extremely versatile as well.

The thing is going to be timing and cohesiveness in the offensive line.

We can do whatever we want to do, if our offensive allows us too.

I guess that's why I'm a tad bit concerned about some of our depth cuts on the offensive line - but I'm sure BP has a plan- He always does.

I know I feel much better about the offense than I did a month ago. Price was a big addition for me when it comes to Bledsoe. Key just isn't a Bledsoe type of receiver.

I like the rotation it gives us at WR. Key and Glenn can rotate with Price and Crayton to give some change of pace...really Big change of pace from Key to Price. Crayton can come in to play the slot in some packages and Price can come in on the outside to let Key move into the slot in other packages. Then the TE situation is looking very good with Witten and Campbell; plus Pierce was looking pretty good in preseason too. It really gives us versitility in the passing game.

Add to all of that the running game we will have with Julius and A-Train. Plus I think you will see more of Thompson as the season goes on. Our Offense could be sick if the OL holds up as it should.

I think our offensive weapons are pretty good.
I don't see Price as adding that much, maybe a little quickness and some depth.

We are weaker than a few other teams (5-6 in total) in that we don't have a RCVR that forces teams to change their defensive scheme. And our oline depth is poor. This is a concern because people always get hurt up front.

Other than that and discounting the fact that we have a mid to lower tier starting QB, we look pretty good.

Everything considered, I feel pretty good about where we are. I will be disappointed if we don't win at least 10 games.

I think Price adds versitility and depth. he will give us a really great changeup to throw at the defensive secondaries subbing for Keyshawn in rotation.

I think that we have enough different receivers with different skill sets that we can mix it up for the defenses and be just as effective as having a Michael Irvin type go to guy. Defenses won't be able to game plan for just one receiver, they will have to consider our change of pace guys as well.

I agree that our Oline depth is not what I would like it to be and this is a concern. Probably our biggest weakness.

I have to disagree with you here. I don't think there are 15 QB's in the league better than Bledsoe. In fact I consider him a top 10 QB at least.

Everything considered, I feel pretty good about where we are. I will be disappointed if we don't win at least 10 games.
Me too...

What we know have are two dependable guys that can go deep. Don't underestimate that. Both Moulds and Price could get deep for Bledsoe in '02 and that makes all the difference in the world IMHO. That will do all sorts of good things for the guys that run the underneath routes.

I dont think this can be understated.

Especially with JJ at RB.

24 hours ago the MO for an opposing DC to beat us was stack eight in the box.

That strategy just got a whole lot dicier.

Michael, you changed your avatar. Assuming no injuries I agree there are no excuses except for stupid play calling by BP and/or SP.

I would agree but price isn't really a 'go deep' guy. By the way, neither really is glenn although he is a little stronger. We don't have a pure deep threat receiver...this is a weakness.

We have 3 guys who can't be dependably single covered. Assuming you put your #1 guy on Glenn, if you put a #2 CB on Price or Key, they will beat you. Price will outrun any #2 in the league and Key will outmuscle him. Both have proven that in this legue time and again.

Crayton may fall into that category as well eventually.

You may try to put your #1 on Price, then double Glenn with your 2 and a safety. I'll take Key against a nickle corner all day long.

That doesn't even begin to bring Whitten into the conversation.

No sir, this is not good news by any stretch for the rest of the league's DCs.
