Is there a scenario where we can be spoilers?

I wonder if there's a scenario where if we beat some team it keeps the Eagles out of the playoffs. Since it's obvious at this point that we ain't going the next best thing would be to be the team that keeps the Eagles out.

As long as we don't spoil our draft status when doing it I'm all for it. At this point I'd rather just watch the Eagles choke in the playoffs (as usual) rather than sacrifice a higher draft pick.....

You mean spoil our chance at a Top 5 - 10 pick AND miss the playoffs?

Absolutely. It'll likely start in 2 games.

Obvious to who? We ain't dead yet

Obvious to people who can do math?

Since the last playoff expansion in 1990, there has been 95 teams to start the season 2-6............exactly ZERO have made the playoffs..............Never has happened in league history.

That comes to a statistical probability of exactly 0 percent.................sure, its theoretically possible just like its theoretically possible I could win the lottery..........but its not realistic. That is why they say that lotteries are nothing more than a tax on people who cant do math.

Refer to my post on all the things that had never happened in nfl history........ until they happened

No team ever made the playoffs with only 7 wins, until Carolina did it just last season... What was the probability on that? The Panthers also lost 6 in a row last season before winning 5 in a row, including a playoff game... So last season Carolina was sitting at 3-8-1, and riding a six game losing streak, but since that time their record is 13-1, with basically the same roster... What's the probability of that happening?

If Cam Newton and the Panthers can do it, then so can Tony Romo and the Cowboys...

Because we are not winning the division at 7-9 like Carolina did...............Giants already have 5 wins.

As long as we don’t spoil our ability to draft Romo’s successor by winning a meaningless game (for us anyway) then I’m all for it.

I'm not talking about winning the division at 7-9, I'm pointing out number one that there's a first for everything, like Carolina being the first team to make the playoffs with only 7 wins... My other point is that Carolina had lost 6 in a row and were 3-8-1 at that time, since then continuing into this season, with basically the same roster, they've gone 13-1... If i had told you when they were 3-8-1 that the Panthers would win 13 out of their next 14 games with their same roster, just about anybody would have thought that was almost impossible, but it happened... And again, if Cam and the Panthers can do it, then so can Romo and dem Boys...

True but don't count on it. That doesn't happen every year. Or every decade for that matter. It's very slim that it could happen back to back seasons in the NFL.

We ain't dead yet

LOL

Quick someone get in here with a slide rule and tell me how we are not mathematically eliminated yet.

This team has already mentally eliminated themselves. They do not even have enough pride to finish a football game effectively.

Bring out your dead....But I'm not dead yet...smash.

Yes. Absolutely. They spoiled my season.
