Is there any doubt Aikman has to over-compensate?

I agree with that 100%, I hate when Aikman calls our games. Good or Bad comentating, you would never guess that he played for Dallas.

Then he is doing his job. His job is not to sound like the former Cowboys QB his job is to call the game and give input into what is taking place

I'm just glad he and Buck aren't doing the game this week. Norv vs. Garrett? That's head-exploding stuff.

You'd rather he be more like Al Michaels or Jaworski who can't even begin to control their hate for the Cowboys?

I hate biased announcers no matter which way their bias swings.

Aikman is one of the best at this time. He even makes Buck tolerable!

I agree. I actually like Buck. Especially in Baseball.... "say hello to number 27.... the Yankees are World Series Champion once again"

Also, I think it funny when they show Aikman and Buck in the booth in front of the teams banners. Aikman is on the non-Cowboys side. By Aikman's suggestion I am sure. :D

Umm, That prediction can't happen now. It has passed. In my time, 8 came after 7. Dallas is 8-4. Not 7-4.

As far as what Aikman says. Who cares? I mean , really. Do any of you have trouble sleeping at night because Aikman calls it like he sees it? And sometimes, believe or not, the Cowboys get lucky on plays and look terrible. I know that is hard to believe, but, it's true. Oh, it's damn true. Don't tell me that there is someone in here that gets hurt by what any of the "so called" analysts say about this team? Who cares.

I do agree with Aikman and no excuses. And that is definately missing on this team. Along with a M. Irvin. But, those players come only once or twice in a team's lifetime.
There's no real difference between 8-8 and 7-9. Seriously it's one game. Now I doubt we lose the rest, but it is a possibility. But if we did go 8-8 instead of 7-9 Emmitt would have been right for all practical intents and purposes.

Am I alone in thinking that Aikman and Buck's voices sound almost identical? To me they are both so mundane that I can easily tune them out. I personally can't stand the MNF crew. All you hear is "so and so is a beast!"

Ever notice h jinxes us everytime he calls a game. Denver - loss, GB - loss, washiongton - should have lost, NY - loss

I dread whenever he is the announcer on our games.

The problem is Buck. He is the kiss of death for Dallas games. When he was doing post-season baseball, Dallas went on their 4 game winning streak. He came back for the GB game and Dallas laid the egg out of nowhere!

Since Emmitt can't be called an idiot this week (ya know, because his 7-9 prediction looks frighteningly more possible then it did a week ago), the tide turns against Aikman again.

Uh, no. His 7-9 prediction is already 100% impossible.
...unless they dock us two games if we lose to the Skins.

If Dallas goes 8 and 8 this season. Oh it's time to clean house, and get rid of fat boy and his stupid crew of bafoons. We need a coach who knows what he is doing. Oh and would find more ways then one to destroy the Giants, Iggles, and Foreskins on a daily basis. We need a man who bench players like Barber and tell him he sucks on ice when he screws up. Someone who isn't here to be your friend but help you win. Please Jerry thats all I ask for a tough nosed coach.

I will take a good coach over a tough coach. And 8-8 is definately clean house time. Get rid of some players as well.

They were absolutely clueless on the on-sides try. It seems Buck could not fathom the play needed a review. They went to commercial, showed one quick replay, and moved on.

Seriously, though, my longstanding take is this: Aikman is so hellbent on being perceived as unbiased that, yes, I'm sure he tries to make sure he can't be called a homer. But he also heaps a hell of a lot of praise on this team when we play well, particularly Romo. It's not like he's constantly bashing us. Yeah, he can be critical, but that's his nature. He's a stickler -- always was -- and doesn't excuse silly errors.

You know, the kind we've been known to make for the last decade.

Bump please
