Is there no Couch Scout week 9? *Reply Post #22*

He went ghost on us.

lol...was looking forward to it

Probably saving it for the Bills

I really wanted to hear what he had to say about Romo...and the Corners...i saw Newman jumping a ton of routes..and Romo looked real good

I tried to bring this up yesterday, but for some reason my title was edited, then the post moved to another thread and then that thread locked. I didn't envision my post would merit such consternation, it was merely intended to be a friendly request, not a demand. I try to be considerate of the decorum here, but this one baffles me.

Having said that, MOAR Couchscout, we love your stuff!!

I cannot speak for the thread merger/closures you mentioned but I edited your title because we do not allow thread titles that are worded in a way to present a "look at me!" reaction from users. These include things like "You won't believe this!" or "Look at this!" or "OMG! WOW!" etc. and that includes thread titles that simply repeat the same word(s) over and over as well.

We also do not usually allow threads to be directed at any one user even a mod such as "Hey Reality!". If the content of the thread might be relevant to other users, we'll edit the thread title. If the content is only relevant to the poster and the user listed in the title, we'll usually remove the thread.

The best way to ask someone a question or get someone's attention is to send them a private message (PM).

.. imagine if everyone had a question for someone and instead of sending a PM they made a thread directing at the user with their question.

/runs off to ask Reality some questions in a new thread titled "Reality, some AWESOME questions for you, everyone must read!"

To the OP;

CS usually waits a bit later to make his thread. Friday evening is when I am looking for it. Maybe late Friday evening. We have a little while longer to wait.

He won't leave us wanting, I have faith. :D

Don't know if you heard it, but he was on TheEmperor's show, and when asked who the most unfairly criticized player on the team was, his answer was Newman. He said Newman is an excellent corner.

Duly noted, thx for the info.

The title was meant to be like a fun chant (Couchscout! Couchscout! Couchscout!), like a raucous crowd and was directed toward Couchscout, but merely in a harmless fun way, I get where you're coming from, no biggie, I'll try to PM you in the future if I think I am about start a questionable thread

They best you will get this week is his guest appearance on the my show.

Oh I know! That's why I only edited the title because I know a lot of users love to read couchscout's reviews. I am sure whichever mod moved/merged it thought it was related in some way to the other thread. I just didn't want you to think you were being singled out because that is not the case.

While that works for some people I know a lot of people cannot listen to streaming media at work and others may be reading it using mobile devices that either do not support streaming or have limited bandwidth options.

It's the same reason that most users prefer typed recaps of interviews, conferences, etc. rather than video/audio streams.

Hopefully couchscout will get time to do something because I know a lot of fans here enjoy reading his reviews.

I admitted yesterday that I mistakenly merged your thread to his last thread, which I mistakenly thought was current.

Thanks, didn't know

I believe it too. Because when Rob was trying to sell Abe to come here, he mentioned how great Newman is. He wouldn't pitch Newman to Abe if he didn't think highly of him.

Anyone who knows what they're talking about knows Newman's a pretty good CB. It's obvious when you watch the games. But it's good to hear it reinforced by scouts, and, indirectly, by coaches and other players.

Normally I would agree but Couch Scout's threads are without question the best thread of the week in-spite of some pretty stiff competition. Deserves it's own thread.:starspin
