I still feel that he should be no. 1 target for this team. The defense can get much much better with two elite pass rushers.

It would depend. The boys would have to restructure Ware again and anyone else they could.

Barely possible but sadly with how much we had to spend on Carr probably not possible with that *###@@%%$$ penalty as well.

I think so....but the problem will be for fans when they will be at the negotiation table for weeks, much like the lockout!! It would make Carrs signing look easy!!! ;)

No were not gonna get him. Sounds nice and I'd love it but I doubt it.

We can dream, adding Mario would give me a very early x-mas present, but no chance it happens now :(

hell no, defensive end in a 4-3, dallas play 3-4, not in plans at all, never was

I dont see why not, I am sure Carr's initial CAP hit isnt as big this year as it will be down the road. He will probably get around the min this season with his guaranteed money, so the hit will be the pro rated portion of his bonus plus around $1 million.

I dont think they will go after him, but I am sure they could swing it if they really wanted to.

Remove tender from Spencer, restructure Ware and Dez, and cut Coleman if you have to.

That adds close to 15m in cap space.

It CAN be done. Doubtful it will be.

With the four signings and with Davis a potential signing, I have to think we are getting close to the limit of money we cleared yesterday.

So we will either start hearing about reworking other deals or letting some folks go.

It can be done but it wouldn't be worth it. If we had Mario the past few years we'd be talking about how he wasn't worthy of being the highest paid defender in the league and that he isn't an every-down difference maker. Sack totals are a product of good matchups and Houston being thrown on a lot and he struggles against top OTs. He's more NES than Super.

Whether he was in the plans or not, he played OLB in Houston's 3-4 last year, and had an excellent season until he was injured. He is a pash-rusher, plain and simple, and sliding down to DE in their 4-man nickle fronts would be an ideal fit.

Having said that, the only way I see it possible is if they remove the franchise tag from Spencer and let him go in free agency, freeing up that $8.8 mil.

If you want to dream, let's go really big: remove the tag from Spencer and sign Williams. His cap number will only be about $5 mil this year once a signing bonus is pro-rated, so you can use the rest of that freed up space to bring in Grubbs on the OL. :laugh2:

I don't see the fit either...especially with Spencer coming back.
He can and has played OLB well in the 3-4 and he could even attempt to play DE in a 3-4, but I feel his best fit is at DE in the 4-3.

here's how it will work, with the penalty from the NFL power crazed head master, cowboys will be 1 million short of signing MW.

He will then sign with another team.
Then the NFL master, will lift the $10 million penalty, leaving us with plenty of cap space that could have signed him.

Once again screwed by the NFL brainless trust....
