Is there such a thing as a TV that can play an ISO file?

Nowadays there are plenty of TVs that let you plug in a thumb drive and play a video file like an AVI or an mkv. However, I watch a lot of foreign films. It's easy to download an subtitle file and then burn a DVD of the AVI or whatever that includes the subtitles. The video file usually doesn't have the subtitles built in. So if you want to play it in a TV that takes a thumb drive, you would be without the subtitles.

It is possible to "burn" a DVD without using an actual DVD by creating an ISO file. If there were a TV that could play such a file, I could use the same software I'm using now, but not have to bother with DVDs anymore. Just "burn" to ISO, put it on the thumb drive and go.

Anyone know if this is possible?

western digital TV live...it'll also play direct from Video TS folders (which is usually what downloaded stuff comes in).

plug a HDD into your computer, copy files to it, unplug, plug into TV live and voila.

Thanks, man. I'm going to look that up. The software will also create those video TS folders, and that might be faster than making an iso.
