Is this doable?

I guess you're conceding the division. That might be the most realistic option but any chance to win the division likely requires beating the Eagles twice.

If both teams lose 4 of the other games, then it would be the following minus the 2 head to head games:
Eagles 9-5
Cowboys 7-7

If the Cowboys win both head-to-head then it's
9-9 and the Cowboys have the tie breaker.
No offense X but it's insane to even ponder a scenario with the Eagles losing 6 of their final 8 games. That would be an epic collapse.

The main reason I'm conceding the division is b/c of the Eagles remaining schedule. I don't see them losing more than 4 of their final games...most likely 3 more losses. They'll win the division comfortably, but I'm concerned seeding/HFA will still be undetermined in Week 17, which means they'll most likely play their starters in the season finale.

Heath Evans on NFL Network predicted we lose the next 4 games. Says we go 2-4 without Zeke.

I say if we beat KC this team starts rolling. If they get smoked we could be in serious trouble.

Is it doable? I can’t wait to find out.
Heath Evans huh. He’s the poster child for unbiased Cowboys talk...

Win one game from KC/ATL.

Split the Eagles games. Most likely the home game.

Pound the Chargers, Commanders, and Giants.

Win one game from OAK/SEA.

I think this is the most likely road to 10-6.

Yes. Although I predicted 9-7 early on but I like those odds you posted...

Boy your not kidding.

He’s right up there with Rod Woodson. He never predicted a Cowboys win. He was so blatant even his fellow analysts called him out on it.

It's more than doable. It's logical. That's why The Big Dog isn't in a panic. When a fresh Zeke returns, the rest of the playoff teams will worry.

I think we beat the Eagles at home. If we slip up anywhere else in the above scenario then we'll have to sweep the Eagles. Which is why I kinda hope they run off with the division, so they rest their players in the final game.

I hope so. They are more talented than we are right now on defense and it could be the difference in the game. I also have a feeling they have everything in this season hanging on that game. They are building toward coming here and winning.

Would be great if they do beat us after the bye they start to falter.

That's what i said

right there is B Chubb

We need to win the remaining home games (which we should) and split our current road games and that put us at 11-5. I believe we can do that even with Zeke suspended.

Yes. I think it's doable. In fact, likely. If we had Zeke I think we would get one more and get to 11 wins. Things were falling into line. I wouldn't write us off due to the loss of Zeke.

Yes. The Cowboys will win the division if we sweep the Eagles and don't piss off a game.

We won't come close to beating the Chiefs, Falcons are beatable.

Playing Monday morning QB, this would have been Zeke's 2nd game back from his suspension had he started serving it the first week of the season. If that was the case, the remaining games are ALL winnable. I'd predict that they'd be 3-3 without him and 1-0 since he got back. 11-5 team without a doubt.

FINE PRINT - THIS POST IS NOT INTENDED TO START A DEBATE IN THIS THREAD. THIS IS ONLY MY OPINION. PLEASE CONSIDER IT A 'WHAT-IF' AND LEAVE IT AT THAT. THANK YOU.

I think we beat Kansas City. They're good, but we're just as talented. Their defense certainly isn't great by any standard. Mistakes will determine the winner, like usual. We can't turn the all over and we can't have so many damned penalties that stall drives. The passing game needs to step up so McFadden, Morris, Smith can keep the defense honest.

I wish this team would just take care of business at home for the rest of the season, but Andy Reid vs Rod Marinelli does not inspire confidence.

If we lose to the Chiefs and Falcons, we'll just have to sweep the Eagles.

Sure it is doable.
The real question is...Is it likely?

For the record...in the predict the teams record thread prior to the season I picked 9-7...so it would not be be far off of my prediction, sadly 7-9 would not be far off either.

I agree, KC is key. They will be very confident with a win, a lot of questions in the players heads with a lose. Unless we score 30 and the Defense gives up 31. lol, Lots of question need to be answered. Damn, and I wasn't going to drink today!
This. I think if we beat KC, we earn confidence (that we can win against a "good" team without Zeke). I was kind of glad KC won last week in hopes they will be a little full of themselves this week. We need this game for a lot of reasons.

You definitely paint a nice picture. And based on the way you presented it, I'd agree that it's "doable".

But, until I see some real improvement from the Cowboys defense, and no huge falloff from losing Zeke for six weeks, it's hard for me to see "doable" becoming done.

I'm happy with back to back wins, even if they're against some really hurting teams, but this game against the Chiefs will really show me something one way or the other.
