What's his cap hit if he is? Was so promising before the injury. Now he's just a jag. Can Dallas afford to release him in 24 if he doesn't step up for the rest of the season?

Yes, I think it is.

But because of his recent extension his cap hit will be pretty significant. Around $13mil.

He'll have to be a post June 1 to make it palatable.

He'll be a post June 1st cut, why they reworked his contract cap number prior to the seaosn is beyond me..

Gallup could be gone but Cooks has been even less productive and the Cowboys may want to move on from him. They would have to replace both. It’s possible Tolbert could replace Gallup but he’s going to have to really step up the second half of the season to have enough confidence to go forward with him as the third receiver next season. With Gallup’s struggles he’ll start getting more snaps as the season progresses and might even replace Gallup by the end of the season.

I hope so. I was dead wrong about him and expecting any return to form. He's trash.

Gallup is no better than the 5th receiver at this point. Tolbert, Cooks, and Turpin need more targets. They are a good group. They would be better off if Gallup wasn't on the field right now.
