Is this not fair to say?

Plain and simply. We need to go into Arrowhead and dominate on both sides of the field and play exceptional ST's. This isn't because KC is so good. This is because this team needs to prove to itself that it can really play a complete game. That's been our problem the last 3 years. We need to start playing complete football in all 3 facets.

Not rely on whatever side of the team is picking up the slack better that day. Not letting off the gas and winning like that is the best way to fire up this team after these first 4 weeks. Just get it done Wade, Garrett and DeCamillis! Demand this team step on an inferior teams throat on the road and not let off.

I don't care who is or isn't playing. That o-line should be paving over defenses and we should have the ball most of the game. Romo needs to start using his mobility when teams give him openings.

It would be good if the Cowboys made this a statement game, but its not fair to say you don't care who's playing. 40% of the offensive line is injured (Flozell - shoulder, Gurode - knee), although I think they will play. If not, you got Procter and Free  Barber is recovering from injury, your playmaker running back Felix- out, your number 1 receiver likely out, your starting SS - out. The back-ups at all these positions are not that great, except at the running back position.

Brad Johnson, but what would that have to do with the defense that game?

Tony Romo is a huge upgrade over Brad Johnson. You can't honestly tell me that Tony Romo not playing against the Rams didn't have an impact on our chances of winning.

Everything you are saying is logical. But a team can't go into a game saying lets just do our best to squeeze out a win because we have injuries. Every team has injuries. The attitude has to be dominate on each side of the ball and take care of your special teams.

For 3 years I haven't seen this team put a complete effort together and when you're sitting at 2-2 and play an 0-4 team, on the road or not, this is a game where you have to dominate to help yourself believe you are better than 2-2 or 3-2 going into the bye week.

Heck, if you don't believe you need to play a complete game your probably going to go into the bye week 2-3. Phillips and his lack of urgency and greatness is a little too stale for me while we sit at 2-2. I need to see this team hungry on Sundays and all facets pulling their weight. Other wise I have to believe as a fan we probably are an 8-8 or 7-9 standard of team. The type of team that loses all of the close ones or has a bad call or 2 dictate the outcome of the game.

Who started that game at Quarterback?

Brad Johnson as you know. That certainly didn't stop Pacman from saying "we're not the St. Louis Rams" though did it? Joe Montana in his prime could have been our QB that game and we still would have lost with how we got bullied physically by a team we were supposed to overlook because they just changed coaches and had inferior talent. Brad Johnson did not lose us that game. Our weak minded and ill prepared team did.

I think if we have Kitna last year we would have won the Rams game.

My opinion.

I think the whole team overlooked the Rams. We got bullied and bombarded right from the jump. Johnson didn't lose us that game. He doesn't provide us with the fire power to come back either, but they put a lot of points on us and it wasn't from Brad Johnson turnovers until he had to attempt a steep comeback. We were behind 3 touchdowns going into the half. That's a whole team breakdown. Kitna would have been lambasted just as badly.

I think we have a shot in the first Giants game if we have Kitna last year and he was healthy, which he wasn't.

Yes, the Cowboys were not prepared that game but Brad Johnson was horrible and remained horrible until Tony Romo came back.

When you have your "regular" Quarterback in the game, it completely changes the dynamics of your team.

There is no question we have a better shot at winning that game if Tony Romo starts for us.

Heck, the game prior, we took the team that would eventually go to the Super Bowl into overtime.

I'm not saying the Chiefs game is in the bag. However, I believe we will win because even though we are an average team, we are still better than the Chiefs.

Exactly! I totally understand, like we all do, that getting the win is the most important thing against the Chiefs and that winning anywhere on the road is tough.

But..... The reason we don't win consistently is because we lack killer football instinct and completeness as a team. I also agree that the only real deal we have coaching any 3 of our major units is DeCamillis. Cupcake and Ginger don't out coach or out motivate 90% of their coaching competition.

I know Wade can coach a defense at times schematically but he is very bendable and doesn't have his defense dominate a game the way a Dick LeBeau does. Garrett, even worse and not even anywhere as accomplished or capable as Wade on the coordinator spectrum.

no killer instinct
