Is this the game where Bryant gets to show off his arm?

i'm thinking this is the perfect game for bryant to throw a deep pass to austin or robinson on a trick play.

surely we have been saving it for this game.:)

Him throwing an INT isn't what we need to win on Saturday.

I suspect our issues this game will be on the other wide of the ball.

Garrett the coordinator might have called that play, but Garrett the coach never would.

yea...you're probably right...

i think it would work though...

how about this?

bryant is returning punts now..

we could have him throw a lateral to lissemore.

Lissimore is probably all for it. And he can run too.

;)

I hope so man! I was thinking about that yesterday, actually. Weird.

Have we run a "trick" play all season?

I can only think of a couple reverses that didn't go anywhere.

Garrett's has NOT run a single trick play that I can remember since he's been the head coach.

Why? Don't we need to occasionally keep the opposition on their toes. Parcell probably average a trick play every 2 games.

Bryant can't even remember where he's supposed to line up, you want him throwing the ball in a game this big?

that was one of tom's specialties...

hook and lateral

halfback pass

fake punts with danny

fleaflickers

you name it...tom dialed it up.

Other than the fake field goal at the end of the Arizona game, no.

I've always loved the HB/WR option pass. Landry used it fairly often back in the day. Dan Reeves, Calvin Hill, Ron Springs, and Drew Pearson had some success with it for us.

If Bryant has an arm it could add another weapon for us. Actually, I'd prefer Austin since we seem to use him on reverses more often and he seems to be a bit smarter player than Bryant. That's assuming he can throw the ball of course. :D
