Joekel and Fisher the best players in this draft? Im glad we are not sitting #1 in this draft.

I dont see any skill position players that excite me, no QB, RB, OLB, CB, DE,or WR

if i could trade out of the first round, for someones next years 1st, that would be ideal for me.

I dont think its the worst as there are alot of good OL and DE coming out this year. It is definetly up there as one of the worst ones. I also think when you dont have a lot of good offensive players coming out people tend to think it is bad because so many are always looking at the offense. Would be a good year to stock pile picks for next year

The only reason i would trade out is to stockpile picks to get a shot at Clownley next year.

While the top may not have as much star power as you'd like this is a great draft IMO. And there are 2-5 WRs, one RB, and a couple of DEs in the first at least.

This is a great draft for the cowboys. They could realistically add four starters in this draft and prime themselves for a championship run. It is not a flashy class, but there is talent to be had.

What? No love for Geno Smith around 5 or 6?:laugh2:

Honestly, I think it will be an excellent draft. How many "big name" guys actually pan out? Last year was an outlier with Luck and Griffin. I think this is one of those drafts where 3 years down the road a pretty good sized group of guys from Rds 1-4 will be contributing and some will be stars. People don't see the QBs and RBs but overall I think the linemen, WRs, and some other areas are deep enough to find long term starters. I'd rather have a deep draft like this than a star studded top heavy one where you get 6 more rounds of reaches or guesses.

This.

if you need a qb this is a bad draft. if you need d and o linemen this is a very good draft. it is also deep at safety

No it is not. Is it not soo great if you have a top 10 pick, yes! This is the type of draft class that if a team is smart, they can add very solid depth to their team in rounds 2-5. If a team can make a few trades and end up with 2 or 3 extra picks in those rounds and sticks to their board, they could end up with alot of contributors and future starters. There may be a lack of stars but there is alot of good solid football players that can contribute at the next level.

Every year, the draft is the worst ever.

....and the best, depending ofcourse on the perspective, when you change the way you look at something what you are looking at changes.

It's not a one dimensional world.

It's certainly not the worst draft class ever, but from my perspective, it is the most confusing. It's to the point that I'm even starting to get off-the -wall conspiracy theories in my head.

Ok maybe not conspiracy, but at the very least, GMs around the league have done a better job at masking their intentions this year. It just seems that the media in general seem more confused than in previous years.

For example; Star Louteli. He's a guy that some consider the best D player in the draft, yet Mayock has him lasting until 18. There have got to be at least 5 players like that who could go anywhere from 2 to 20.

And with the NFL network taking center stage with this media event, I begin to wonder if this confusion isn't at least partly drummed up for drama's sake.

Yeah, I know. I should take off the tin-foil hat. But if 3 QBs and 2 WRs end up going in the first then in retrospect, we'll have been looking at a more traditional draft.

Just what we need

I think it is a good draft for those looking to beef up the fronts on offense and defense. Some of the other position it is not a strong class hopefully this works in the Cowboys favor

It doesnt appear to be up there in flash. WR and RBs, but there are good players out there for the trenches.

Out of curiousity, what would be considered the worst draft class ever? I see this one as deep in some areas and shallow in others. Seems like the right kind of draft to me. It would suck for the team(s) with needs at the shallow positions.

This isn't nearly the worst draft class ever.

In fact, it's one the deeper drafts in recent memory. it's just weaker at the top than normal.

So quite the opposite.

Very deep at CB and WR. I even think the QB class--which is weak at the top--will end up having more players make a team than most years.
