How is it being assessed? Is it a strong one compared with the last few years? Where is it deep and not so?

Thanks....

Deep at the corner and runningback positions.

WR is pretty thin, in terms of legit first round graded talent, if these guys were to have come out in normal WR years.

OL isn't too shabby in terms of depth.

I don't know if how you rate/rank whether an entire draft class is as good, or deep, as others until you see them play a bit in the NFL to know how deep the class was. If that makes sense.

Real strong value in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. Not great on elite talent (top 10 players) and not very deep (should be a weak 6th-7th).

imho if this was a normal draft class almost every one in this class would be taken one round down from where they will be taken this year

Huh? This draft looks to be one of the deepest, its thin spots appear to be TE, S, and G which aren't great needs for the Cowboys and are generally considered low priority positions in the draft anyway. The WR position seems a little iffy at the top, but has pretty good depth overall. RB seems to have elite and depth. With CB lacking the elite sure thing top five guy, but a lot of very good depth with guys that have upside. Most including our OL coach think that the OT is extremely deep.

I like the Quarterbacks as well.

I think a lot of these guys can be solid pro's and solid pro QB's can have 10 year careers in this league.

One of the deepest drafts of all time for RBs.

CBs have about 5-6 really good guys, just not a sure fire stud like Newman.

OL is pretty deep also, again no studs really stick out.

WR as a group is weak in this draft, most of these guys would be 2nd rounders in other years.

Thats my .02:)

Every yr everyone in the forums claims it "one of the deepest drafts ever"

go back and look it up...every year its the same thing

I see nothing in this draft that stands out over any others...they have one super talent thats clearly head and shoulders above everyone else (McFadden) some solid prospects and a whole bunch of guys that look like late 1st to 3rd rd picks

the truth is nobody really knows what this draft is, and wont for several years...I absolutely guarantee you though that some of the players people are slobbering over in here will bust, and some players nobody is talking about or completely diss will turn into outstanding players...and 2 or 3 yrs from now people will say "OMG, we should have this guy instead of that guy!!!!"..."what was Jones thinking????!!!!"

I disagree.

The vast majority gets it. Of course there are going to be some that have no clue.

I think everyone was on board last year knowing it wasn't a very talented draft.

We were lucky to get Anthony Spencer.

I mean we even drafted a kicker it was so pathetic.

No not realy strong. WR is very weak even those who go in the 1st will most likely end up decent #2's at best. HB is pretty good. I mean Jones, Rice, Johnson and all the others will be okay. Nothing great aside from McFadden. CB is pretty deep but I still stand by the thought that King is the best corner in the draft.

I actually think this years WR class is better than last years. Craig Davis went in the 1st last year.

Better then last years wouldn't be saying much even if it were. I don't see anyone in this draft that could be a #1 anywhere. I also think that is the reason the CB's looked so good. There are abour 4-5 stars and most are on D the only one on O is McFadden and we don't realy have a shot at him. We will end up with some pretty good #2's though unless we trade both firsts for next years draft at that point we would have 3 first rounders and we should also have some comp picks. I am not to confident in next years draft either though.

that is what this draft looks like to me mostly... and that is why I said those that carry for an example a 2nd rnd grade this year would probably on most years carry a 3rd rnd grade...again jmho

It seems pretty typical to me except for one position. RB. This RB class seems to be one of the deeper in recent memory.

The WR's seem to be a tad thinner (in talent) than usual.

Seems like a very deep class at CB and RB. And WR is actually fairly deep with solid but not sure fire first round talent at WR.

I was looking at the QB class as well and liking what I was seeing. I'm not a nutty fanboy about Erik Ainge, but he wound up being a solid college QB and he doesn't even get mentioned. Then there's Sam Keller, a pretty good college QB with size that played in a pro system for a former pro O-Coordinator and head coach. And Keller is ranked about 10th as far as the QB's go. I wouldn't mind seeing Dallas draft Keller in the 4th round personally.
