does anyone still get excited by the opening state of the team address in Oxnard?

It used to be one of my favorite days of the year. I'd have to admit though that in last 7 years with Twitter providing year round coverage camp isn't quite as special as it was when starting camp was the only knowledge we had gotten in 4 months.

Yes, but more excited the first preseason game.

We should find out right away how much Jaylon is practicing and who is the 1st string LG to start camp; however, the reports of players abilities are often not what we see when the preseason games start.

My first question is "who is healthy or not". We should know after 1 practice.

A bit premature to call it Christmas, but I'd definitely call it Thanksgiving, as in Thank God Football is Finally Back and Christmas/New Year (preseason/regular season) is right around the corner!

Nope. I honestly dont care too much about TC, or even the pre season games. I do enjoy hearing about who's impressing, especially this season.

The past few years Ive been spoiled with the daily video coverage of the TC practices. Since they found out other teams were watching and spying they cancelled that level of coverage...
Oh, gotcha. Fox sports southwest has a 15 minute segment every night with Micky Spags, Brad Sham and some hot chick, can't think of her name. Sham was standing uncomfortably close to this girl and acted like he'd had a few cocktails prior, weaving around..idk maybe it was his Christmas Eve.ha

Christmas Eve?

No, I am a Jew.

I'm excited to get training camp started generally. This means football season is just in the horizon, which means I am one step closer to another season of Sundays filled with family, good food, quality beer, and everyone in their Cowboys gear.

Getting all our players back in camp and away from the off-season distractions also makes me happy.

I do honestly look forward to the daily updates. Hopefully we'll have at least one Cowboyszoner checking in from Oxnard and posting updates.

I would compare it to the day before you knew you were going to an amusement park as a kid. I use to go to Six Flags or Disney World every year as a kid and it was impossible from me to sleep the night before because of the anticipation and excitement. I absolutely love training camp and it is one of the few things as an adult that I get that same feeling from.

They report today, so we should get some news on any conditioning and such.
But the real day is Monday, and probably not until late afternoon. I think I had a link to the planned practice schedule.
If I still have the email to the link, I'll start a thread on it.

I remember having to read about it newspapers. The off-season then was really an OFF-season.
