Is Trey Lance playing today? Update for Cowboys backup QB

I have to give the head coach a chance to at least hang himself.
 
The Cowboys aren't going to let him play and possibly do well. By keeping him benched, the Cowboys ensure he'll have no chance of attracting interest from other teams. Then during free agency, the Cowboys can lowball him and he'll return as Dak's backup.

If his head coach rides the pine on his accountability, Jerry better not come within ear shot of this fan by training camp.
 
I don't think it will happen, but it would be really funny if Lance started tonight and lit up the Bucs and ran all aver them.

Anything to make Jerry look like an idiot....... not that he needs any help.
 
Dallas has shown they are trying to win. Trey Lance does not help them do that. They know they blew that trade and are admitting it by not playing him. I honestly doubt they want him back next year so there is no greater plan to try to game the system by not playing him.
 
If he becomes the starter for the rest of the season, we will know with 100% certainty that Corky will be back next year as HC....and that is what Booger wants IN THE WORST WAY!!!
 
Dallas may be eliminated, but McCarthy wants to win to build his resume'.

Big Mike doesn't care about where we pick in the draft since he probably won't be here. So don't expect Lance because Mike says Rush gives the best chance to win.

The backup QB doesn't need time on the carpet to measure into the future. Lance does. There already is investment involved.

This proves the disconnect between Jerry and the coaching staff. Lance was Jerry's idea. I don't think McCarthy ever wanted Lance and doesn't have any interest in developing him. If Rush starts the last two games after tonight that will prove it.

Can't expect Lance to play much tonight since Rush got all the starters reps in practice.
 
Rush will get hurt tonight Then Jones will have even better excuses for McCarthy to stay on ! Saying he was winning with Rush so he deserves to come back next year
 
If they play Trey, and he lights it up (unlikely), JJ, and SJ will look like idiots, wait, they'll look more idiotic than they already do, therefore, no Trey.
 
Sunday night on national tv......prime time for Jerra to stay in the news with Lance

If they don’t, JJ has lost his marketing mojo

If he signs with any team in the NFL it will be one year at the minimum allowed by the CBA, zero dollars guaranteed…if he makes the team.
