Is he the dream pick and do we have any shot at getting him?

Should we give up multiple picks to go get him if he falls past 15?

Ive seen centers and guards fall before but I don’t know if there is any chance it happens this year.

Our only chance with Stats Prescott is to build the best Oline ever assembled so this would be a nice start.

I just posted in the another thread. Brugler has him going to the Eagles with the Dolphins pick at #15.

Romo needed 3 first rounders on the OL plus Ron Leary who played like at least a good 2nd round pick, plus LC who would have been a top 10 pick. KC and TB have recently invested heavily in the. All good teams invest heavily in the OL because the game is one and lost in the trenches.

They are cutting Kelce??

As I said in another thread, Kelce is close to retirement. Linderbaum can play OG for a year as they will likely have an opening at the RG spot as Brandon Brooks will likely get cut since he's been injured the last two years and has a big cap number. Their RB now is a rotating list of guys. They can plug Linderbaum in at RG for a year and then he slides over to C when Kelce retires.

I'd be stunned if Linderbaum was on the board and the Eagles passed on him.

Most teams operate with awful Olines in today NFL. I know that doesn’t fit with cliches that you’ve heard all throughout your time of being a fan but that’s the reality of today’s NFL.

Yes, Dallas needs better OLs because of our weakness at QB but most QBs don’t have it nearly as good as we do.

Listen, I hate PFF but they had us graded as the #1 OL in football. Now I’m not saying that’s accurate but it’s a good indicator if nothing else as to how bad the state of NFL offensive lines are.

Joe Burrow is playing great and he’s a year 2 QB. His team is moving on and he can’t get protection by his OL at all.

When you pay a guy 40 million dollars a year you forfeit the right to complain about everything not being perfect.

On what basis do you make the claim that most teams have awful OL’s? Does that pertain to upper echelon teams? Do you make this claim backed up by any type of analysis or just your opinion?

I don’t use stats. Stats are for Dak fans.

PFF agrees with me if you buy into that crap which seems like what you’re alluding to.

Dallas sadly has one of the best OLs in football and I agree with them. NFL lines stink.

Come on man give it up. Everyone on the planet knows the Dallas OL is bad. We’re gonna address it early in draft why? The fools at PFF think our All Pro CB is the 80th best in the league. I’m not gonna call you a fool but you agree with fools.

We have a very good OL that can’t run the ball, has the most penalties in the league and can’t protect vs good defenses. Who thinks that’s a good OL?

1) “I don’t use stats.”

2) “PFF ageees with me.”

These 2 statements can’t exist in the same universe.

Logic much?

If you are going to use PFF, then we should point out that of PFFs 10 best OLs in 2020 were:

1 - Cleveland
2 - Green Bay
3 - LA Rams

4 - Patriots
5 - Tampa Bay
6 - Washington
7 - Indy
8 - New Orleans

9 - San Fran
10 - Buffalo

The teams in bold made the playoffs in 2020.

The only point here is that typically you need a good OL if you want to make the playoffs and make a run. I am not suggesting Dak is great or that he didn't have a good OL.

I use my own judgement really. I think PFF sucks but the poster was asking me to quantify how I know that NFL offensive lines suck.

I wouldn’t know where to start and I don’t really care to just to appease him.

You’re asking me to quantify it and I don’t know how to or care to.

I just watch football and know I guess.

NFL Olines in general are terrible and as bad as ours is it’s still one of the best by today’s crap standards.

Yes, I’m all for improving it because I think the best OL in the universe is the only chance we have with Dak.

Seems silly to take OL early if we already have one or the best in the league. We have major holes to fill on DL, LB, S, WR, TE, LB, etc. Why waste resources where we are already solid? We aren’t and you know it. Tyron is old and injured. Williams and Biadasz are awful. LC is eh. Our entire OL is a penalty machine. Emmitt, Sanders, Brown, and Walter would be awful behind this line. Yeah they’re good.

Its not silly to improve it because our QB was made by it and he can’t operate without a incredible run game.

Winning with our QBs arm is not an option against good football teams. He goes into a shell too easy.

Doesn’t it usually take a good running game to win playoff games and Super Bowls?

He’s a solid C prospect but I don’t see the Quinton Nelson type of prospect some on here seem to be labeling him as.

He’s under 300 pounds and I think he’d be best in a zone heavy scheme…I honestly don’t know what we run most of time.

The nightmare pick.

Ugh
At this point it's Green or a top end Def player or trade back

You say you don't use stats as if PFF is more credible. Unbelievable lol.

What would it take to move from 24 to 14. We could wait to see who the Eagles take at 15 and 16 then jump them before their last selection. I know most people don't like taking a Centre that high but we invested a lot in our running attack and are not getting the results because teams want to shut down the run and force Dak to win the game. Linderbaum is a strong man; just look up video's of him submitting his old team mate who plays LT for Tom Brady. We need to fix the line.
